Juicy, cooling foods with a high water content

Hot spices (chillies, cayenne, Jalapeno peppers, etc.), Alcohol,


Vinegar, Fried Foods, Tomatoes, Yogurt and Cheese

Cool to lukewarm drinks according to preference. Favour sweet,


bitter and astringent tastes.
Wheat, White Rice (Basmati, Jasmine, Texmati, etc.), Barley, Oats,
Qunioa, Kamut, Amaranth, Couscous.
Mung beans, Small Kidney Beans, Non-fermented Soy bean
products (Tofu is OK, but avoid Tempeh). All other are OK in
moderation.

Asparagus, Artichokes, Yellow squash, Zucchini, Okra, Cauliflower,


Broccoli, Cabbage, Green beans, Celery, Potato, Sweet Potato,
Peas, Bell Peppers, Tender Eggplant, Cilantro, Sprouts, Lettuce,
Chard, Brussel sprouts, Parsley, Cucumber, Kale, Bok Choy, Winter
squash, Sweet corn, all green leafy vegetables except Spinach.

Milk (boiled and served at room temperature to warm), butter,


ghee, sweet lassi, cream, cream Cheese, Panir (homemade cheese
from milk)
Whole, natural sugar cane, Date sugar
Ghee is best. Olive, Subflower, Coconut (in moderation)
Subflower and Pumpkin seeds, Blanched almonds in small
amounts.

Coriander, Cilantro, Cumin, Turmeric, Saffron, Fennel, Cardamom.


You can have ginger root, Cinnamon, Black Papper, Thyme, Basil,
Oregano and Marjoram in smaller amounts.
