Section 2.2 Installing PowerFactory

This section is dedicated to new users in order to easily follow the process of installing DIgSILENT PowerFactory
software. This example is based on installing DIgSILENT PowerFactory version 2019 service pack 3, but applies for

Check the network license item as shown in the following picture and type XXX.XX.XX.XX in the server box as shown
in the picture and select the refresh button (Fig. 2.5).

Then license container will update and use the correct licence container as X-XXXXXXX as shown in the picture.

Note: type the licence don’t copy paste. Then save it. After this is done PowerFactory is ready to use.

Click “Finish” at the screen shown in the Fig. 2.2, and then close the installation when Fig. 2.3 appear.

To activate the licence, click in the “start menu” on Windows and find LicenceManager. It is located inside the
installation folder. When you click on it, it pops up licence window (see Fig. 2.4).
