Flavour of India Fine Cup Award
E-auction of Winning Coffees

Flavour of India Fine Cup Award Competition was introduced in 2002 by Coffee Board with the
objective of showcasing the premium quality Coffees of India on an International platform. Flavour of
India Fine Cup Award set a landmark which takes the Coffees of India at prime importance and
divulges goodness of superior coffees in a fair and transparent way. Flavour of India The Fine Cup
Award participation is not only a competition to reward the high quality coffees but also helps in
building a relationship between growers and buyers who are committed to take Coffees of India to a
different horizon. Through this competition, growers who are participating regularly have improved
the quality of coffee considerably and are selling estate branded coffees in the international market at
a higher premium.
For 2019 competition, a total of 154 coffee samples
comprising of 67 Arabica washed, 19 Arabica
cherry, 35 Robusta washed and 33 Robusta cherry
were received at designated collection centers. A
number of 55 samples qualified at the pre selection
stage, of which 31 samples qualified for national
round 1. The second level of cupping by national
jury was held on 29th May, 2019 in which 25
samples (13 Arabica and 12 Robusta) qualified for
the final round of Cupping by International jury.
Based on scoring by the International Jury, the Fine
Cup Arabica and Fine Cup Robusta have been
announced. For the first time in the history of the
competition, the winning coffees along with the
final round coffees, are ready for e-auction.
