1. You literally give the NC ground for infinite abuse- outweighs because they can read all the
abusive strategies but 1AR theory is only finite abuse.
2. 1AR theory is key to checking timeskew- they can layer the NC so it’s impossible for me to
respond substantively- if they do so abusively theory is my only way to win back the debate
in the super short 1AR
3. 1AR theory is key to education- otherwise I have to read all my interps in the AC which kills
substantive education because it takes up too much time for interps you probably won’t
violate.
Counterinterps
Counter-interp- only vote on 1AR theory if it checks structural abuse- if the NC gives itself
more roads to the ballot then my only recourse is theory- there’s no way the 1AR can cover it
all. Solves back abuse- you can always make up substantive abuse but structural abuse is non-
falsifiable.
Counter-interp- only vote on 1AR theory if the interp was in the AC- solves back abuse
because they could have answered the interps and standards in the NC. If you reject AC
theory that means there can’t be any theory in the round- there’s no earlier speeches.
Counter-interp- only vote on 1AR theory if the interp is <insert interp>. Solves back friv
