Linda: What can I do in Italy?

Agent: You can do a lot of things in Italy. But I think the most interesting things
are in Rome and Venice.

Lynda: Very nice. I want to book those two cities for the winter break.

Agent: Sure. I will get to that right away... Everything is ready. I have the
reservations for your flights and hotel.

Lynda: Please, tell me about the activities I can do there.

Agent: Sure. We offer several tours in Rome and Venice. You will
arrive in Rome on December 21st. You will be there for three days.
You can start your tour on December 22nd. What types of activities
do you like?

Lynda: I like cultural and outdoor activities.

Agent: Ok. The best places for that are the Coliseum, St. Peter
Square, the Pantheon, the Spanish Steps, the Campo de’ Fiori, and
Trevi Fountain. Here are brochures for each of those places. It will
take two days to visit all of them.

Lynda: These look great. What about Venice, what can I do there?

Let´s get inside

Some expressions the travel agent uses have the form WILL because they are
things that Linda and the agent are planning. When these sentences appear is
because they are referring to a plan. The travel agent says these expressions using
WILL because she knows that if nothing goes wrong, these things will certainly
happen.

Linda’s uses other words besides will. Linda uses words like HOPE, BELIEVE and
THINK. She uses these words because she is not sure about the things she says.
They are not certain. If you are not sure about something you are planning, you
can express that with words like HOPE, BELIEVE and THINK. These words reduce
the certainty of the things you say.

She will go to the She thinks she will visit

Fontana di Trevi. Doges Palace.

She believes she will visit She will go to the She hopes to go to the
Ponte Vecchio. Leaning Tower. St. Peter´s Basilica.
