Air Quality

Introduction

Air pollution is the biggest threat to air quality as it makes it a health risk to human life.

Also, air pollution has resulted in unpredictable weather patterns leading to climate change. The

implication of these observations means that the world needs to come up with a sustainable

solution to the problem. By so doing, we will be assured of fresh air to breathe for negation to

come. This paper discusses various ways that we can apply to ensure clean air that will benefit

future generations.

We should all support anti-pollution policies. This step is vital as it will help the world

get rid of harmful activities that pose a threat to clean air. The government can roll out programs

aimed at protecting the environment, but it is that duty of every individual to ensure that they

support this course (Zeng et al. 2019). Implementation of policies entails collaborative efforts.

Thus, we should support these initiatives as a way of protecting the quality of the air we breathe

and also ensuring that future generations continue enjoying the same.

Comprehending the sources of pollution. The environmental protection agency suggests

that particulate matter, sulfur, ground-level ozone as well as carbon monoxide to be the biggest

polluters of the environment. In an attempt to secure the future, we need to understand the origin

of these pollutants. Through this identification, the emissions will be significantly reduced.

Through this reduction, the amount of ground-level ozone will also be reduced considerably.

Minimizing the use of automobiles. The automobile industry is a significant contributor

to ground-level ozone. While it will be hard to get rid of their usage completely, we can make

deliberate attempts at minimizing them. The public can be encouraged to consolidate or avoid

unnecessary errands. For instance, for those living close to commuter railways, they can take the

train at least once or twice in a week. Instead of purchasing new wheels, they can opt for hybrids.

This attempt will significantly reduce the amount of these gases. We should increase vegetation

acreage (Green, 2005). Some plants help in absorbing carbon monoxide from the air. Their

modus operandi is akin to that of the human liver. Many indoor plants act as air filters and can

help it get rid of dangerous compounds from the air. Through the application of natural air filters

both in offices we can help in purifying the air. The future generations will be indirect

beneficiaries of such practices as they will inherit a cleaner environment.

We should all go solar. Electrical utilities produce vast amounts of nitrogen oxides. To

avoid using them, we should embrace solar panels that are uniquely designed to preserve the

environment. The modern solar panels are designed to conserve the environment in many ways,

thus helping reduce the amount of nitrogen oxides that are released into the atmosphere.

Conclusion

From these illustrations, it is clear that a clean environment specifically air is at risk at the

moment with many agents of air pollution. A cleaner environment is a product of concerted

efforts from all stakeholders. Everyone has to invest in this endeavor for it to succeed. At the

current rate, the world is at risk or having contaminated air in future. We should strive to ensure

that we create a conservative culture for future generations to benefit,
