 Workcamps? Why?
An international workcamps is a form of voluntary
service for people of different sex and nationalities aged of 18
and over gathering together in a palatably pleasant
atmosphere to:
 Participate on a project of general interest and benefit
 Support a dynamic of local development
 Improve the apprenticeship of some worth values such as
solidarity, tolerance, patience, self confidence, democracy,
citizenship, etc,…
 Develop educational, social and cultural values.
 Appreciate and respect differences of culture.
 Reinforce an international friendship, a mutual
comprehension of peace and collective utility.
 Learn and improve languages.
 Conditions of Participation
 To be aged of 18 and over
 To pay registration fees
 To undertake to respect the group and the program
 To be enthusiastic and willing to help

 Visual Activities
The going on the association “JEC” is deeply connected to
the different types of activities it fulfills including:
 Organizing international work camps of voluntary work
during summer holidays.
 Organizing workcamps in week-ends aiming at developing
local community
 Exchanging volunteers at the level on the international
workcamps.
 Realization of the fitting out of some socio-educative
establishment and the renovation of historical patrimony
 Organizing excursions and travelling.
 Reinforcing of some social works devoting to the
elimination of ignorance and illiteracy and also to the
integration of physically disabled people in society.
 Getting people aware of the necessity of environmental
protection (sensitization)
 Offering courses of consolidation and reinforcement for
students who have difficulties
 Teaching JEC’s volunteers some languages such as French,
English and German.
 Organizing Some Kind and strengthening the personal
skills and interested in competence for volunteers who are
interested in Bering frames .Opportunity to learn and put in
practice their own competence (projects: Pottery,
Embroidery, Arabic language, Moroccan kitchen, craft
industry…)

 Identification and Aims
JEC is non governmental and non lucrative association
founded in 1959 in accordance with 1998’s law of public freedom
allowing association’s creation of benevolent work created by
young volunteers initiative and willingness to contribute to the
construction of a new deal based up on peace value, solidarity, and
fraternity among people. Since it’s creation, Jec has never given up
encouraging the promotion of these values witting young people.
JEC aims at promoting the voluntary service by working on
projects favorably benefiting to the local community especially to
poor district. It is also an educational movement lucidly based up
on the international exchange of young people within summer
work camps. It fosters youth’s expectation through an action
attended by environmental safe guard and by making young
volunteers aware of the momentousness of community work.
 JEC’s Structure :
JEC’s organizes its congress ordinary once in every
three years with participation of the representative of the
section during which it evaluates the activities, elaborates the
program and elects the members of the central bureau.
The central bureau sits up the activities of the
association and keeps busy the following axis: International
exchange, Formation, orientation, Work camps, projects,
Financial and administrative management.
The counsel of administrative committee is formed by
the central bureau and the representatives of the section.
