The aim of the term project for this course is to expose you to exciting ICT tools that can help you increase productivity as computer professional. Benefits of this project You'd be working hands-on on ICT technologies that can greatly improve your productivity. Project dates a. Allocation of projects: by Monday, 16th September, 2019 (beginning of 5th week). b. Submission of all deliverables: End of 14th week [Please submit early; late submissions will not be entertained at all] c. Project Presentation: 14th and 15th weeks. Project details Each project will be undertaken by a group of 2 students. For evaluation, each group member would have to explain the part of the project he/she was responsible for, and would be marked separately. Project Deliverables There are two deliverables for each project: a project report and a project presentation (using Microsoft PowerPoint or similar software). These deliverables must be submitted by the announced final submission date. Report format The report should have a formal writing style, and must contain the following sections: 1) Introduction of the project 2) Objectives of this project (describe what you wanted to achieve through this project) 3) Importance of the objectives (describe how the objectives described above can be useful for an computer professionals) 4) Main section (where you discuss how you've managed to achieve the objectives you set yourself) 5) Applications of the project (discuss all applications [as much as possible] of your project) 6) Conclusions (summarize your project, your main learnings, and discuss if the project objectives have been achieved) The report should be concise, comprehensive, and to-the-point. Please omit all unnecessary details by iterating through your document multiple times. You should try to comprehensively cover the above topics while limiting yourself to a maximum of 15 pages. On the other hand, the minimum page length of 8 pages serves to ensure that your project is not handled superficially. You can use Microsoft Word or any other similar word-processing software. Presentation format You should try to cover the same topics as required in the report. The requirements for the report and presentation, however, are quite different. The presentation does not have to be exhaustive and can focus on the more important details only. It is preferable that the presentation focuses more on visually demonstrating the main ideas rather than stating them in text-form.
