Abstrak
Penelitian ini ditujukan untuk menginvestigasi para siswa sekolah menengah
atas/kejuruan sekota Gunungsitoli, bagaimana mereka mempersiapkan diri sebelum
mengikuti lomba pidato berbahasa Inggris, menyusun ide mereka dalam naskah pidato,
berpidato, serta apa saja kesalahan mereka dalam menulis naskah pidato dan dalam
berpidato di depan umum ketika perayaan hari kemerdekaan Republik Indonesia yang
