 Demonstration: The writing lesson has a persuasive letter demonstration


 Hands on Experience: The science lessons are discovery based to help with full mastery
of the topic
 Direct Instruction: Each lesson has at least a mini-lesson with lots of opportunities for
questions
 Practicing a Skill: The math lesson allows for students to practice making different
numbers in the teens with ten frames; The reading lesson allows for students to practice
using a strategy to help them find more information
 Observing: Both of the science lessons have an observation aspect to them

 Interpersonal: Students were able to work together during the different lessons

 Group Investigation: The experiments during the science lessons were done together as a
group
 Personal Sharing: During the writing lesson, students were given the opportunity to share
what they wrote if they wanted

 Visual/Spatial: Students were able to see results in the science lessons


 Linguistic/Verbal: Students were able to share their thoughts aloud in the writing lesson

 Inquiry: Both science lessons were based around a question; The math lesson involved
the students having to figure out how many blocks would make the specific numbers
 Essays: The writing lesson involved students writing a small persuasive letter to their
teachers
 Using evidence: The BDA lessons involved the students going back into the text to find
specific information and then sharing where they found it

 Logical/Mathematical: Students were able to use math and logic to solve problems in the
science and math lessons
Intuitive Feeling (NF): Self-expressive Style
 Creative Art Activities: The reading lesson allows students to make their own non-fiction
book
 Hypothesizing: The science lessons involve the students making hypotheses about what
they think will happen

 Logical/Mathematical: The students are able to think logically about what will happen in
the science lessons
 Visual/Spatial: The students are able to express themselves in the reading lesson
