Markers, board, notebook, computer, internet, whatsapp app, mobile phone, facebook, dictionary on their
mobile phones.
Procedure

Warmer (10 minutes)

 Ask students to contrast between how difficult could be to find a job in Mexico and abroad. Make notes of
their comments on the board.
 In teams (2 or 4 people), ask students to state the country they visited recently and identify the advantages
and disadvantages of working in that specific country.

Task1 – Advantages and disadvantages of working abroad (15 minutes)


 In their teams, ask them to access the following link on their computer https://content.wisestep.com/top-
advantages-and-disadvantages-of-working-abroad/ and make notes to complement their previous ideas.
Encourage students to use the dictionaries they have on their device as they find unfamiliar words.

characteristics of places and objects.

Task 2 - Think of the reasons why I would like to work in a foreign country. (10 minutes)
 (Individually) Ask students to list 10 reasons why they would like to work in the country they visited and
the possible difficulties they may face there.
 Discuss some comments with the group briefly.

Task 3– Writing (15 minutes)


 Ask students to "model" a "post on fb" communicating the possibility of moving abroad to work but
looking for some advice from their friends.
 After they have finished, they take a screenshot to send it to the whatsapp group.

Model:

Hi everyone! I am thinking about changing my line of work. My current career is not making me happy
and I don't want to do it forever. I want to enjoy my livelihood. (add your own reasons here!)
