Project guidelines
Each team should select an organisation for the project work. Ensure that the
organisation’s turnover is more than Rs. 1,000 crores. It should be a multi-
location and multi-product organisation.
The organisation selected should be intimated to me by 15 th April 2020,
Wednesday. If there is a tie between teams, the team who has given me the
organisation name first will choose the organisation. The other team should
choose a different organisation by 16 th April 2020, Thursday. Once the
organisation is chosen and approved, no change is permitted for any reason.
The interim report should be submitted by 25 th April 2020, Saturday. On
feedback from the course faculty, the team should submit their final report by
30th April 2020, Thursday. Closing time will be 5.30 pm.
Report should be ideally 20-25 pages. A4-Size, margin – normal setting, 1.5
line spacing, Arial – Font size 12 for text, heading (centred) and sub-titles of
font size 14.
There will be final presentation, the date of presentation will be intimated later.

Collect the information about the organisation and its supply chain answering the
following:
Introduction about the company – one page.
Draw the schematic diagram for the organisation’s supply chain(s). Explain
different stages in the supply chain(s) and three flows in the supply chain(s).
Describe the decision phases in the organisation’s supply chain(s).
Discuss the cycle view and/or push-pull view of the supply chain(s).
Sketch the macroprocesses and examine the interrelationship between them.
Spot the organisation (products) on the implied uncertainty spectrum,
responsive spectrum and also on cost-responsive efficient frontier curve.
What are the challenges the organisation face to achieve and maintain the
strategic fit?
Draw the supply chain decision making framework of the organisation
What is the organisation’s competitive strategy and supply chain strategy and
how does the company achieve strategic fit?
What is the role of each driver as part of the organisation’s supply chain,
important decisions related to each driver? Discuss.
