RESUME .

On February 4th 2020, proposal seminar was held with 11 parcipation; (5 students in room 2
and 6 students in room 3). The seminar proposal was examined by 7 examiner such as Maam
Oca, Maam Popy, Maam Sesye, Pa Cris, Maam Jen and Maam Helena.

Here are the resume of the seminar proposal

" Implementing Vocabulary Journals Technique to Enrich Students Vocabulary at Grade VII of
SMP Negeri 12 Ambon "

Conducted the research based on main problem is most students are lack of vocabulary in
terms of constracting sentense appropriately and students are not able to deliver the ideas in
written and oral forms. This problem occurs because the teaching technique by the teacher are
less effective and always monotonous. So in order to reduce these problem, the researcher
comes up with "Vocabulary Journals Technique". By using this tehcnique, students are expected
to be able in interest learn English vocabulary, (in case learning new words that they have
learn). The method used in this study is Classroom Action Research (CAR). This research was
conducted in SMP Negeri 19 Ambon at Seventh Grade which consist of 27 students. In my
point of view, i do agree with the suggestion from examiners that before applying this
technique it's better if the researcher conducts vocabulary test to see the level of students
vocabulary. This is meant so that the target (e.g. seventh grade) taken by the researcher is
right. Also, the researcher have to consider how to apply this technique in the classroom like
are they work in groups or individually. The questioner that the researcher arranged has to be
considered whether the language is right for students and must be consistent. "Why
vocabulary is important? Am i qualified enough to teach and conduct this research while my
vocabulary level is not enough?" this is also an important thing where a researcher must reflect.

"The Use of Podcast to improve students pronounciatin at 1st grade students of SMP Negeri 1
Ambon"

Podcasts recently are talked about in society, this is makes the researcher try to use podcasts to
improve students pronunciation based on prelimirary studies conducted in SMP Negeri 1
Ambon it was found that the students at 1st grade rarely able to pronounce English word
properly.

These problem happened because of 3 main causes such as: (1) L1 interference, it makes
students pronounce some English words with Indonesia Phoneme; (2) students' physical ability
or insufficient training from the teachers; (3) students hard to pronounce vowel sounds
correctly. But first of all the researcher must understand what is podcast itself and types of
podcast that appropriate to use in academic studies. Then, the researcher have to consider how
to asses student pronunciation in the classroom, the questioner too hard for the students, also
researchers must have a limitation the aspect(e.g. vowel, difthong, voice, unvoice) from the
prounciation.

" Using Picture as a Technique Media in Improving Student Reading Comprehension of The
Text to The 8th Grade Student of SMP Xaverius Passo"

There are 3 causes of problems in this research such as : (1) student lack of comprehension of
sentence with unfamiliar words; (2) determining the concept of the text (part of text, function,
kind, etc); (3) lack of awareness attempting to visualize what is happening in the text, predicting
and lack of motivation to read a text. Therefore, students have difficulty in comprehending the
text which finally has a bad inpact where students score are below KKM. The researcher
decided to use picture a teaching media in terms of motivate the students and make the text
more concentrated, coherent, and correspondent. By using picture, the students are able to
develop their background knowledge and understanding of what is happening in the text.
Classroom Action Research (CAR) is the method used in this study using 20 students at grade
8th of SMP Xaverius Passo. The researcher have to see bloom taxonomy of SMP in order to see
the level of student, considered structure of questioner for the students and the researcher
should pick the right picture for the students.

"Applying KWL Chart Strategy in Improving Ctudent reading Comprehension of Descriptive


Text"

Students' problem in this research are : (1) students had difficulties in comprehending or
understanding the text; (2) teaching strategy was monoton so that students feel bored and not
interested in reading the text. This research was conducted in SMA Negeri 31 Maluku Tengah.
The subject of this research is students at 10th grade. This research conducted with Classroom
Action Research as the method with 3 intrument such as test, questionnaire, observation
checklist. Researchers must be able to distinguish what is reading and reading comprehension
and how to apply KWL (the chart) if the student didn't know the text, also there is no linking
between the problem and the title. These things are a concern of the examiner.

"

Students encounter unfamiliar words in learning process in happened because they lack of
vocabulary. Electronic dictionary is needed to help looking for the meaning of vocabulary.
Research method is survey design. This research conducted in SMP Negeri 7 Ambon with 30
subject which contains 10 student of each class at 8th grade. There is no gap in her proposal.
The researcher should consider the tenses and differentiate interview and questioner.
