TITLE INTRODUCTION TO MATLAB

1.1 Introduction
MATLAB [1] is a high-performance language for technical computing. It integrates co
visualization, and programming environment. Furthermore, MATLAB is a modern pr
language environment: it has sophisticated data structures, contains built-in editing
tools, and supports object-oriented programming.. MATLAB is an interactive system
element is an array that does not require dimensioning. The software package has b
available since 1984 and is now considered as a standard tool at most universities an
worldwide
1.2 Objectives

PREAMBLE The objective of this activity is:

To understand the basic layout of MATLAB, workspace operations, file
management and create mathematical expression.

1.3 Learning Outcomes

At the end of the laboratory activities, students would be able to:

• to understand the MATLAB desktop layout (CO2:PO5)
• to use the MATLAB workspace (CO2:PO5)
• write create variables and mathematical expression in MATLAB
(CO2:PO5)
• to perform script editing, saving, printing and other file
manipulations operation (CO2:PO5)

2.1 Problem Statement

You are given demonstration on MATLAB and required to follow and answer
the given questions.
PROBLEM
STATEMENT The present of lecturer/ assistant engineer are compulsory to supervise
and assist students to operate MATLAB in the laboratory.

3.3 Data Acquisition
WAYS & MEANS Each student is required to perform the command execution process to
collect the required data for solving the problem.
4.1 Results, Analysis, Discussion and Conclusion
The group will be required to propose a MATLAB script that will analysed
the simultaneous linear equations and print the output to address the given
problem.
