1. Sentences with one clause

Example:
The boy……going to the movies with a friend.

Example:
In this example, there is a verb, was, that need a subject. There is also another clause, I missed the
appointment. Answer D is the best answer because there is a subject, he, for the verb was and there is a
connector, since, to join the 2 clauses.
