A.

Introduction - Today we are here to learn a bit about this matter, a very relevant one, that is
transportation in the future. So without further ado let´s jump straight to the presentation
B. Topics - Firstly, we will look at the present, next we will discuss how we can improve our lives
regarding eco-friendly means of transport which we already have, then we will talk about what
transportation may be like in the future. Finally we will conclude our presentation.
C. Fossil Fuels Intro- well everyone knows that fossil fuels, are the major energy source used in the
world nowadays. The problem is that their over consumption can lead to serious environmental
issues such as air pollution, since they release greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide and carbon
monoxide.
D. Fossil fuels – Non-renewable – Furthermore, fossil fuels are non-renewable sources of energy,
depleting at a faster rate.
Environmental Hazards- Due to global warming. Such as rise in temperatures,
which results in melting of polar ice caps, flooding of low areas and rising sea levels.
Accidents can be disastrous- . Oil spills have occurred in the past. They lead to
pollution of water bodies and death of aquatic animals including those living offshore.
E. Green Transportation- What´s this? Well, it´s the greening of the transport sector, which
suggests any sort of transportation that is environmentally friendly. In simpler words, anything
that doesn’t emit greenhouse gases or impact the environment in a bad way.
F. Elon Musk-... yes it is, indeed, I mean, his ambition is out of this world and it revolves around his
vision to change the world and humanity. For instance he´s known to dream about commercial
space travelling.
G. Hyperloop-So… in addition to his primary business pursuits, he has envisioned a high-speed
transportation system known as the Hyperloop, which I´m going to talk about in more depth, and
has also proposed a vertical take-off and landing supersonic jet electric fan propulsion.
Now… the hyperloop is a high speed transport systems that consists of a elevated
steel tube in a sealed near vacuum environment that can carry cars as well as people at 1200
km/h (muda de slide) and will most likely be powered by solar energy.
However, the challenge comes down to this question…how is this going to work?
Well, the propulsion system is still to be chosen from a number of options, two of which are
Magnetic Levitation and Air Pressure, similar to that of an air hockey table.
H. Conclusion – We set out to answer the question on how will means of transport in the future be
like by saying that despite being uncertain, the future may hold some surprises and obviously
some drastic changes will be felt concerning the carbon footprint of the vehicles so that´s why I
think it is of the utmost importance to discuss this matter with you.
