Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies (VIPS) is organizing VSLLS Conference

on Emerging Trends in Commercial and Arbitration Law: International and National

Perspectives on March 16th 2020.

Internationalization of business, competition issues, advancement in technology, e-business,

disruptive technology, developments in financial and securities markets, financial scams,
changes in consumer demands – all have necessitated dialogue on the emerging challenges in
the area of commercial laws. With the growth of international trade and liberalization of
Indian economy, settlement of international disputes through arbitration has become the
preferred mode. Since the courts are overburdened with the bourgeoning cases, arbitration
becomes an easier method of dispute resolution. The changes introduced in Arbitration and
Conciliation Act in 2019 press upon an urgent need to deliberate and reflect on the emerging
trends in domestic and international arbitration.

In light of these, VIPS brings a platform to discuss, review and critically analyze the shifts in
business law practices and emerging issues in Arbitration.
