Staff instruction For 5th july

1. Kindly rearrange Duty of boys and staff to make sure there is enough staff
every day during live surgery each session with a circulating staff and a
extra boy available.
2. Kindly indent and shift
a. Microscope (neuro OT ),
b. CARM –PHILLIPS (NEURO OT )
c. C ARM –Seimens ( MOT )
d. MIDAS REX Drill (Medtronics )
3. Keep enough Clothes + Shoes for surgeons
4. Indent for Snacks and tea for operating surgeons
5. Keep every OT ready with all the stock including
a. Drape and gown and gloves
b. Drain, suture, staples, bone wax, gel foam , Tseal –(Pre kept in OT
itself ,not in store )
c. Pls keep cautery /suction / vaccum /bipolar cautery ready and
checked and ready – keep one piece in spare in each OT
d. Drapes /gowns for surgery
6. Kindly place the microscope and carm in each OT as have been requested
in OT list guidelines
7. Kindly make spine sets 5 + General Sets 5 in number (make sure the
autoclave boys are aggressive and shifting and doing things faster )
8. Kindly keep OT ready a evening before with Spine Set/General Set
/Implant /Medicine Tray/ Consumables indentended a evening before in
each ot (please don’t leave it for next day morning )
9. Kindly shift the patients of morning slot to recovery by 7 am sharp
10. Please make sure shifting happens in time and IV LINE AND CATHETER
are done in recovery itself
11. Keep extra forward ronguers , disc punches, hammer, osteotome , nerve
hooks ready
12. Kindly indent for lead aprons also a day prior in enough numbers
13. Keep endoscopy trolley ready for endoscopy surgery – Keep shaver,
camera, camera cover saline trolley , 3 ltrs saline indented
14. For anterior thoracic /abdnominal surgery (7th july ) –abdominal drain ,
fan retractor , malleable dweyers , vessel clips , ethibond sutures kindly
keep ready
