Ten wonders of cavite

The Independence Day (Araw ng Kasarinlan) was declared on June 12 1898, it’s an annual national
holiday in the Philippines, commemorating the Philippine Declaration of Independence from Spain.

Emilio Aguinaldo declared independence at Cavite. Let me take you to the 10 wonders of Cavite where
the first freedom was taste.

1. Aguinaldo Shrine
The site of the Philippine declaration of Independence, this well-conserved home of the
country’s first president Emilio Aguinaldo has a mix of Hispanic and American Colonial design
elements, as well as secret compartments and passageways.
2. Museo de La Salle
Inside the De La Salle University-Dasmarinas campus is a lifestyle museum, which preserves
antique family heirlooms, such as furniture and decorative objects in recreated 19 century
rooms.
3. Cuenca Ancestral House.
Also called bahay na Tisa because of its roofing made from baked clay, this ancestral house is
also known as Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo’s temporary residence before his office was transferred to
Malolos Bulacan.
4. Andres Bonifacio’s trial house
Life-size dioramas that depict the historic trial of Andres Bonifacio in a Military court are housed
in this Museum.
5. Calle Real
One of Tanza’s oldest houses was transformed into this well-loved restaurant. It serves
traditional Cavite dishes, all made using recipes handed down from generation form
generations.
6. Corregidor Island
Known as the “Historical Capital of the Philippines”, Corregidor Island where one can witness
the Spanish ruin canons and forts.
7. General Trias church
It is known as the St. Francis of Assisi Parish Church, it’s a peek into the Spanish Colonial Period.
The church played an understated [art in the Philippine Independence.
8. Battle of Binakayan Monument
The Battle of Binakayan was when the Philippines achieved its first significant victory over the
Spanish colonial power. The historical showdown took place on the shores of Binakayan, Kawit,
with General Emilio Aguinaldo leading the force as one of its chief commanders.
9. Dasmarinas Catholic Church 
The Immaculate Conception Parish Church, better known as the Dasmariñas Catholic Church, is
the first Catholic Parish in Dasmariñas. It was built right after Dasmariñas was established as a
separate parish in 1866. Although it's a place of worship, this stone church and its attached
convent has violence woven into its history
10. Juan Felipe Monument
Julian Felipe was the composer of the Philippine National Anthem, first played as the Marcha
Nacional Filipina on June 12, 1898, at the home of General Emilio Aguinaldo in Kawit, Cavite.
Felipe is also a native Caviteño, born in the city on January 28, 1861.
