Dear Sir or Madam, 4/3/2019

As the Mattie E Coleman (Junior Missionary) Director it is an honor to write this letter of
recommendation for Kyaria Walker. I have known Kyaria since she was in grade school. Kyaria played a
very active role in the Mattie E Coleman, in other church activities, as well as in the community.

During Kyaria’s time in the Mattie E Coleman circle she played the role as secretary, treasurer, and
parliamentarian. Kyaria participated in parts during Sunday worship to include scripture reading,
mistress of ceremony and the choir. Kyaria played an active role in the preparation in fund raisers and
social events such as lock in, car wash, fish dinners, making Easter baskets for the younger generation,
preparing and delivering boxes of food for Thanksgiving and Christmas, visiting the sick and shut-in or
bereaved families, HIV/AID’s seminar, and NAACP programs. In the community Kyaria participated in
feeding the hungry at First United Methodist Church during spring break, and collecting clothes for the
homeless shelter and shelter for abused women and children.

\][ As well as collecting clothes for the homeless Kyaria also worked in the clothing closet at the church,
separating clothes, hanging up and arranging the clothe racks, and offering a lending hand to those who
came to get clothes. Among all things Kyaria is very talented and would sing solos or creative dance
during programs and events, or participate in skits for Black History and other programs. Though all the
attributes of Kyaria are not listed, it was a pleasure having Kyaria as a loyal member of the Mattie E
Coleman.

Kyaria Walker has always carried herself in a decent and respectful manner. Kyaria is truly and asset to
her church, school, community, and family.
