 Summary
Thomas Hobbes discuss people option to live in misery or happiness. People are all created
biologically equal. Though some may be stronger or smarter than others. People are all born
with the same mental ability to learn. With time everyone is able to know what everyone else
knows. Especially if everyone dedicates themselves to learning about everything which can be
known. People also have something called equality of hope and desire which can be dangerous
and create enemies. As stated previously when it comes to competition. All people can
experience the need for competition, harmful shyness, and vain glory which can lead them to
lives full of happiness and misery. The common wealth has an important responsibility to check
these behaviors by putting power limits on subjects of the nation. This limits the amount of
competition and lowers the vain glory. And on other hand Property is natural because it is
depending on the law of nature. every individual has a property in this world because all the
things those are created by Allah every individual has a right to enjoy all things and all the
things are his property but after using some labor on them because the property includes the
labor of his body and the work of his hands. For example, someone who gather apples from the
forest. Those apples that man gather by his body or the work of his hands his property.by
nature men are a solitary economic animal. The aim of the government is the facilitate
production and consumption at a reasonable level therefore the role of government is to
protect the right to labor and property. This is the most fundamental principle of the common
wealth which is the growth of the social compact that humans agreed with each other with in
the state of nature. Thus economism is what push us out of the state of nature and into political
society.
