How we as an individual and as a society can respect, promote and

protect human rights. Give at least two examples.

There have been many conflicts in our society because of the

inequality and failure to protect human rights, as conflict

intensifies, hatred accumulates and makes restoration of peace

became more difficult. As an individual, we are capable to

respect, promote and protect and it is essential to the

sustainable achievement of the three agreed global priorities

of peace, development and democracy. Human rights are fundamental

inalienable rights that have just by virtue of the fact that we

are a person. Although the government can pass laws to protect

our human rights, human rights are rights believed to be granted

by God or by some higher power and everyone has human rights even

if legislation doesn't protect them or if oppressive governments

do not respect them.

In terms of respecting the human rights, the government and each

one of us must not deprive people of a right or interfere with

persons exercising their rights. Like for an example it can shown

through on how we and people will treat us all in the same way

such as rich and poor, old and young, white and black, tall and

short. Also as to an example from government, they can show that

they respect human rights through creating constitutional

guarantees of human rights and providing ways for people who have

suffered human rights violations by the government to seek legal

remedies from domestic and international courts. They offer us

respect, and they charge us to treat others with respect. Second

is how to promote? Well, it can be done in many ways such as

educating the public about human rights, obtaining redress for

the victims of human rights abuse and many more. As to

government, they can promote and fulfill every human right where

they must take positive action to facilitate the enjoyment of

basic human rights. For an example providing free, high-quality

public education, create a public defender system so that

everyone has access to a lawyer, ensure everyone has access to

food by funding public assistance programs and a public education

campaign on the right to vote. Lastly is to protect the human

rights, we can protect it through by starting to secure it within

ourselves first then others, we must prevent private actors from

violating the human rights of others. Another example in terms in

protecting would be as to government, they are capable to

prosecute perpetrators of human right abuses such as crimes and

domestics and cooperate with the international community in

preventing and prosecuting crimes against humanity and other

violations.

To sum up, human rights are inherent to all human beings as a

birthright. There are certain aspects of our life, our being,

that ought to be inviolable and that no one else ought to be able

to infringe, because they are essential to our being, who we are

and what we are; they are essential to our humanity and our human

dignity. Without human rights we cannot achieve our full

potential. Human rights simply extend this understanding on an

individual level to every human being on the planet. If we are

all in this together, every individual can achieve being

respectful, capable to promote and enable to protect every human

rights.
