Students are asked to brainstorm the word family and answer the questions on
page 50 of their student's book.
To maintain the oral discussion, students are asked to read the Just for a
laugh section and briefly comment on it. They can use the questions related to
this section as guide lines.
Teacher asks students how many of them write letters nowadays. Most
students will answer that they prefer texting or emailing. Students are also
asked whether they know anyone who doesn't live with both their parents.
Students will then read a letter written by Mia, a girl who has two families.
(page 51 of the student's book).
