ABOUT COBALT SKIES

Cobalt Skies, the annual fest hosted by Bangalore

Medical College and Research Institute, consists of
a myriad of events and a plethora of fun, passion
and excitement.
Spanning over 6 days, it’s one of the biggest fests
in the state, covering a wide range of activities,
curricular and co-curricular alike. Ranging from
the intellectual verbose, the dancing divas, the me-
lodious nightingales, the athletic Bolts, the creative
pacts to the artistic van Gogh’s, all have a chance
to unleash their inner talents and make this a
memorable journey.
Cobalt Skies is a platform for about 5000 students
from over 100 colleges belonging to a multitude of
professional courses and they bear witness to the
inimitable fervour, the surreal zeal, and the diligent
and industrious undertaking displayed by the
students of Bangalore Medical College.

 Carrying Valid ID cards issued by the college is
mandatory for all events.
 Judges’/ Referees’ decision is final.
 Submit music/ AV files for all cultural events 30
minutes prior to the event.
 Person taking part in other events should inform
organizers prior to the event to prevent clash of
events.
 Participants/ teams must report 30 minutes
prior to the event.
 A delay of more than 15 minutes in sporting
events will result in a WALKOVER.
 All teams missing the slots or not present on the
time will be placed at a slot as per the discretion
of the organizing committee.
 Please contact the respective organizers for
fixtures/ timings for the respective events.
 Organizing committee can cancel, re-schedule
and change the venue of any event depending
on the number of registrations and the same will
be informed.

Participants are allowed to sing songs whose
lyrics are in Indian language only.
Decision of the organisers is final in case of

There will be two rounds, prelims and finals.

cal and Indian light music categories

Karaoke will not be allowed in prelims, only one

The top 5 will be selected for the finals

 Topic for the debate will be announced one week before the

 Each team is required to send a video of about 4 minutes (2
minutes per team member) with their arguments on the topic.
The final date for submission of the video will be announced
along with the topic. Late entries will not be accepted.
 Only teams which clear the initial screening will be allowed to
participate in the live debate.
 The debate will consist of a single round.
 Each speaker is allowed 4 minutes to speak, followed by 2
minutes for questions from other participants (rebuttal).
 Additionally, the judges may also question the speakers.
Questions from the audience are not allowed.

 Use of offensive language or gestures will result in disqualifi-
