Smart Phones

A keyboard and a microphone for inputting information, a display screen and a speaker for viewing or hearing
information, and a processor, all mounted to or within a housing in the form of a laptop computer or hand-held
computer. A phone interface has a slot, channel, or other support member for holding the portable phone, with a
phone port electrically connected to the processor. Alternative embodiments include a modem that is electrically
connected to the processor and the phone port, and an adapter with a port that mates with the phone port and a
port that mates with a selected phone. The phone wirelessly transmits data entered into the input components
and transferred to the phone via the phone port, and wirelessly receives data to be transferred to the output
components via the phone port for visual or audible output.

ATM (Automated Teller Machine)

The input devices of an ATM include:

 a card reader that captures account information from the magnetic stripe of a credit or debit
card.

 a keypad which is used for typing in details such as kind of transaction, required amount and
PIN (personal identification number).

The four output devices are a speaker, a receipt printer, a display screen and a cash dispenser. The cash
dispenser features an electric eye which counts every bill exiting the dispenser. The bill count, along
with other information associated with any transaction, is automatically recorded within a journal.
Besides that, there is also a sensor which evaluates thickness of the bills

- Visual - describing data carried by visible light

In smart phone
Touch screen module and display. It is a visual describing data carried by visible light in
smart phones. Display which is an output device. It shows the data and the information what
we want as the thing then make a big creativeness by looking in the display
In Automated Teller Machine
ATM also has a display. It is also a visual describing data carried by visible light in ATM. It
displays the what the thing we want. Such as displaying what the amount was in our account
and many information’s according to our bank account.

- Audio - describing data carried by sound

In smart phone
Smart phones have a speaker. It is an output device. It faces an audio describing
data carried by sounds. It makes a sound by vibrational frequencies according to
boards based on what we give an input to that system by input devices. Make a one
example listing a song by pressing a play button in our smart phone by input devices
and another example is making a call to other persons like that
In Automated Teller Machine
ATM also has a speaker which speaks the information about our bank accounts to
getting a cash from cash holder and some ATM’s speaks some sounds such as add
the like wise many things are there.

- Tactile - describing data carried by touch

In smart phones
Smart phones which has a display with touch accommodations by describing their
data carried by touch which reads a data from our fingers by thermal radiation then it
converts into digital signal by the modification of our smart phone processor
By The below link we can get a brief intro about touch in smart phones
In Automated Teller Machine
ATM also has a display with touch accommodations which is very much useful to
take a cash from ATM because touch is very much better than the keypads.

- Electronic - describing data encoded in electrical signals

In smart phones
The mobile phone or cell phone as it is often called is equally important to the network in the
operation of the complete cellular telecommunications network. Despite the huge numbers that
are made, they still cost a significant amount to manufacture, discounts being offered to users as
incentives to use a particular network. Their cost is a reflection of the complexity of the mobile
phone electronics. They comprise several different areas of electronics, from radio frequency
(RF) to signal processing, and general processing.

The design of a cell phone is particularly challenging. They need to offer high levels of
performance, while being able to fit into a very small space, and in addition to this the electronic
circuitry needs to consume very little power so that the life between charges can be maintained.

ATM is automated.  It is loaded with software and hardware and communication

equipment’s, connected to its master - ATM switch, to respond to card
transactions as per instructions. Some steps of each transaction are executed as per
instructions by software inside it. But ATM needs instructions from switch in
remaining steps. Normally, when everything is alright, transactions are
complete. But when there is problem in communication equipment’s or
hardware, ATM is not able to complete transactions as instructed by the switch.
So, transactions need reconciliation - reconciliation between what switch instructed
and what it actually carried out.
