The Interview (Script)

In this file, you have to create the script or dialogue for your “job interview”.
Example: one member of the group (the employer) asks questions to one
candidate for the job (candidate 1), he asks the same questions to the other
candidate (candidate 2) at the same time. In parentheses write the location.
Example:

(In the office)

The employer: Welcome to “RMA Company”, it’s a pleasure to have you here, I’ll
make you some questions to both of you and at the end I’ll decide who will get the
job.

The employer: Good morning.


Candidate 1: Good morning.
Candidate 2: Good morning.
The employer: What is your name?
Candidate 1: My name is Pedro.
Candidate 2: My name is Pablo.
The employer: How old are you?
Candidate 1: I am 27 years old.
Candidate 2: I am 30 years old.

Now, make your script or dialogue. The text must contain 200 words at least.
Use simple present in most of the dialogue. Do not add pictures.

JOB INTERVIEW

-The employer: Welcome to "Virgin Company", it’s a pleasure to have you here, I
will make you some questions to both of you and at the end I will decide who will
get the Customer Service job.

-The employer: Good morning. Nice to meet you.

-Candidate 1: Good morning, it’s nice to meet you too.

-Candidate 2: Good morning, it’s nice to meet you too.

-The employer: Tell me about yourself.

-Candidate 1: My name is Vanessa Loaiza. I am 23 years old. I am from


Colombia. I study at UNIMINUTO university. My last job was at Falabella as a
salesperson.

-Candidate 2: My name is María Barrios. I am 22 years old. I am from Colombia. I


study at UNILLANOS university. My last job was at H&M in Customer Service.

-The employer: What are your biggest strengths?

-Candidate 1: I’m really good at listening to people, working under pressure and I
like things done with excellence.

-Candidate 2: I’ve worked for 1 year in Customer Service and I’ve always enjoyed
helping people.

-The employer: What is your greatest weakness?

-Candidate 1: I have a hard time staying organized. But I learned how to do it.
Thanks to a good time management system, I’m always able to keep my tasks up
to date.

-Candidate 2: I often spend too much time on a particular task. But I realized that
by delegating some tasks we are always able to meet the deadlines.
-The employer: Why did you leave your last job?

-Candidate 1: I’m looking for new challenges. I’m looking for a job where I can
grow with the company.

-Candidate 2: I feel I wasn’t able to show my talents. I’m looking for a job that suits
my qualifications.

-The employer: Why should we hire you?

-Candidate 1: I have experience in a similar environment, I have excellent


customer care skills and I am willing to work to be the best.

-Candidate 2: When I read your job offering, I saw that you were looking for a
person with experience in Customer Service.

-The employer: Do you have any questions?

-Candidate 1: No, I don’t.

-Candidate 2: No, I don’t.

-The employer: Thank you for your time. Could I please have your e-mail in case I
need to ask you any further questions?

-Candidate 1: Of course.

-Candidate 2: Of course yes.
