METHODOLOGY

This chapter provides information on the procedure used to conduct which investigated

the perceptions of school principals, parents, and students to answer the following

research questions:

1. What would school principals, parents and students think the effect of distribution

condoms in senior high school?

2. Do the school principals, parents and students think that by this action, we can

decrease the increasing number of HIV/AIDS?

3. For school principals, parents and students, what do they think the reason of DOH-

DepEd in implementing this decision?

The chapter compromises three sections. The first section will be the study design, which

consists of the objectives and purpose of the study. The second section will be the

participants and selection, specifically; the section describes the reason why we selected

these participants. Lastly, the third section will be ethical considerations we consider while

conducting this study.

Study Design

The objective of this study is to know the significance of conducting a research about the

perception of school principals, parents and students to the distribution of condoms in

senior high schools. Also, to know the reaction and their perception about the said topic.

The information will be collected by conducting an interview.

Participants and Selection

The distribution of condoms is related in schools because obviously, the said

implementation will be held in schools. The participants and respondents that we selected

are from schools and residents. The first participant are the school principals, next are the

students and the parents. The participants will be interviewed to know their beliefs and

behaviour about the topic. From them, we will see different concepts and views from

different people about the distribution of condoms in senior high schools.

Ethical Considerations

We are committed to follow the ethical practice in doing a research project. By sending the

selected participants or respondents a letter that would formally informed them a request

to their participation for the completion of our research project. This letter will inform

them about the topic, the purpose of our study and the questions that will be ask to them

when we conduct the interview.

The informants in this study will be sent a consent letter to formally ask for their

participation in the study. The purposes of the research, the methods that will be used in

date gathering and also the ethical considerations will be included in the letter. The letter

also stated that the personal information about the respondents will be kept private and

secured. We will also be using codes to hide the identity of schools and residences to secure

the confidentiality of their personal information.

The paper will compare and analyse the different views of school principals, parents and

students about the distribution of condoms in senior high school. By doing this, we will

clearly understand the different beliefs of the selected participants or respondents.
