Introduction
• Ask students what the following things have in
common: shoes, socks, mittens, shoelaces, gloves,
and earrings.

o Call on a student to read the first paragraph
• Teacher reads correlative conjunction rules;
students read example sentences
Development
• Have students sit in pairs
• Name each pair by a correlative conjunction
• Project Use Two worksheet onto the whiteboard.
o Only display the sentence being read each
time.
o Instruct students to stand when they hear
their correlative pair.

appropriate correlative
conjunction pair for each
problem. Each problem is
worth two points for a chance
to earn 10 total points.
Accommodations:
• The study guide can be projected onto the whiteboard
during the Introduction.
• Students can write down their correlative conjunction
during the Development so they remember what they are
and when to stand.
• The Which Correlative Conjunction? worksheet has large
spaces for writing answers. The text is a large print.
