Paula: 2.

Mayi: 3.

HELLO MY NAME IS……. WELCOME.

El día de hoy hablaremos sobre pasado simple.

Today we are going to talk about simple past.

Esto hace referencia a acciones que ya ocurrieron y poder plantar un adecuado diálogo en tiempo
pasado.

This refers to actions that have already happened and a better form to make a dialogue in a past
time.

La estructura del tiempo pasado.

structure of the past tense.

Debemos tener en cuenta su auxiliar did en verbos regulares e irregulares.

We have to bear in mind the auxiliary verb “did” in regular and irregular verbs.

El auxiliar did se usa en su forma negativa y en la interrogativa. This verb is used in negative and
interrogative form.

Inicialmente para conformar esta estructura se deben tener presente los verbos regulares
terminan en (ed) ejemplos; ella cerró la ventana. Los verbos irregulares no siguen ninguna regla,
ejemplo; ellas fueron a la piscina.

First to form this structure, we have to keep the irregular verbs in mind, these verbs end in ed.
example: She closed the window. Irregular verbs don’t follow any rule. example: They went to the
pool.

Se divide en tres formas: It’s divided in three forms

1. Afirmativa: Subject + principal verb + Complement

● She closed the window con verbo regular. with regular verb.
● They went to the pool con verbo irregular. with irregular verb.

2. Negativa: Subject + Auxiliary verb + Not + Principal ver + Complement

En esta parte usamos el auxiliar did.

In this part we have to use the auxiliary verb “did”.

● she did not/ didn't closed the window. Con verbo regular. with regular verb.
● They didn't go to the pool. En este caso ( Went) debemos convertirlo en verbo infinitivo
(go). In this case (Went) we have to change the irregular verb to infinitive.(go)

HELLO MY NAME IS MAYELY

3. Interrogativa: Auxiliary verb + Subject + principal ver + Complement

En esta forma interrogativa también usamos el did al iniciar y para reemplazar el signo de
interrogación el cual no se usa en inglés y nos dice que está en tiempo pasado.

In this interrogative form also we have to use the auxiliary verb “did” to start and replace the
question mark that is not used in English, it means that the sentence is in past tense.

David: Yes, when I was 13, I was alone in my house and suddenly I saw a Shadow in the
window, I said “HEY” but nobody answered me.

Jenny: Was it a thief maybe?

David: It was so strange, because the shadow disappeared in a second.

Annie: Oooooookay, wait a moment, was it a human shadow?

David: Yes, I think that it was a man. Cause the shadow was very big.

Jenny: Okay your turn Annie.

Annie: Okay here we go, When I was 9, I was with my family in the mall, It was my first
time in a mall, because I was a country girl…

David: When I went for the first time, I loved going up and down in the elevator.

Annie: Okay I was very happy and in that moment it was awesome for me, BUT in one
moment I lost my family, and the situation was very hard, I was crying, I was walking
around the mall and finally I found them, 20 minutes of panic.

Jenny: Okay, you have a bad sense of direction.

Annie: Your turn Jenny.

Jenny: No problem, this is my experience with a fortuneteller.

I was looking at my Facebook, when suddenly a fortuneteller ad appeared, I was

interested and I wanted to go to experience something new.

David: mental note, don't meet strange people from Facebook in the near future.

Jenny: When I was there someone said “Come in” and I opened the door and I went into a
small room. There was a man sitting behind a table. I said good afternoon and I said that I
wanted to see Madame Yolanda, then he said that Madame Yolanda died in 1850 but he
could speak with her if I wanted, I said “NOOOOO thank you, no problem and I went out
very fast.

David: wait, did you see Madame Yolanda before that?

Jenny: Obviously, in that moment I thought that I was speaking in Facebook with someone
died.
But two weeks later she called me and she said that the man was her cousin and she said
that he was joking.

Annie: OKAY, It was so crazy.
