GENERAL MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT

This Memorandum of Agreement is made and entered into by and between.

The COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING, University of Eastern Philippines, with
principal office at Rosales Ave., University Town, Northern Samar, represented
herein by its Dean, Dr. BENJAMIN D. VARELA, Herein after referred to us “COE”;
-and-
PHASES ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR CORPORATION, --- one of the most
reliable and respected general electrical contractor in the Philippines with a wide
range of experience in engineering and construction projects, represented herein by
its Project in Charge-Phases, SOLIEL FRANCINE S. PALENCIA, and herein after
referred to as “PECC”

Witnessed that
WHEREAS, the COE, as part of its effort to provide quality engineering
education, has programmed to establish linkages with corporation and other
agencies, both in private and government sectors, by sending senior students for an
On-the-Job Training to any of these agencies.
WHEREAS, the COE, believes in the improvement in the quality life of
people through formal education;
WHEREAS, the COE has identified the PHASES ELECTRICAL
CONTRACTOR CORPORATION, to be one of those agencies who can augment
the in – campus training and education in the field of engineering;
WHEREAS, PHASES ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR CORPORATION, and
its concerned department(s)/sectors(s), in the spirit of cooperation have agreed to
establish linkages to the COE and are willing to accommodate students of the COE
for the On-the-Job Training (Ojt);
WHEREAS, both parties, in order to achieve the above mentioned purpose
bind themselves to these agreement, subject to the following modes of corporation
and resource sharing;
NOW, THEREFORE, for and in consideration of the foregoing premises, the
parties hereto bind themselves to this AGREEMENT, including all term and
conditions stipulated to wit:
1. COE shall
1.1 Through its Department Chair, assign an Internship coordinator who shall
communicate and oversee the Internship Program with the Cooperating Agency;
1.2 Provide student requirements, guidelines and policies relative to the
conduct of Internship;
1.3 Identify the students who shall undergo the Internship;
 1.4 Monitor students undergoing Internship;
1.5 Provide as many be requested by the Cooperating Agency to visit and
use the facilities of the COE subject to the existing rules and regulation of the
college;
2. The Cooperating Agency shall
2.1 Provide free Internship to the students of the COE;
2.2 Assign Internship Coordinator to handle communications and oversee
Internship Program in the Cooperating Agency;
2.3 Assign supervisor to each student on Internship who shall be responsible
for the training and evaluation of the student assigned;
2.4 As may requested, allow faculty and students of the COE to visit and use
the facilities of Cooperating Agencies;
2.5 If requested, shoulder the seminars/symposium/training programs to be
conducted by the COE in or off campus.
3. Under the General Memorandum of Agreement, the following terms and
conditions are likewise included
3.1 Any changes, modification and alterations on any of the following
provisions of this contract shall be made upon the mutual consultation and
agreement of both parties;
3.2 This agreement shall be effective for a period of one (1) calendar year
from signing without prejudice for further extension/renewal upon mutual
agreement.
