MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT
-AND-
The Department of Public Works and Highways-Office of the Regional Director, Region III,
a government agency duly recognized under the existing laws of the Republic of the Philippines, herein
represented by ENGR. ANTONIO v. MOLANO JR-Director IV, Filipino, of legal age and with
office and postal address at CITY OF SAN FERNANDO CITY, PAMPANGA, Philippines, hereinafter
referred to as the SECOND PARTY.
WITNESETH:
That the FIRST PARTY and the SECOND PARTY hereby approve to the following:
WHEREAS, the College of Civil Engineering, an Academic and OJT Program of the FIRST PARTY
aims to provide its students with the necessary acquaintance and training in actual work environment and
to prepare them for employment opportunities upon graduation;
WHEREAS, the said Academic and OJT Program of the FIRST PARTY is acknowledged and
accredited by the Administrators of the SECOND PARTY as a partner in providing social, political and
civic programs in the community;
WHEREAS, upon request of the FIRST PARTY, the SECOND PARTY has agreed to admit
student-trainees to the latter’s internship or on-the-job training (OJT) Program in support of its objective
of providing students with the actual on-the-job experience to match the academic curricula with what the
industry demands.
NOW THEREFORE, for and in consideration of the foregoing premises, respective parties hereby
agree as follows:
1. Responsible for briefing and orienting the Internship/On-the-Job (OJT) student-trainees who
intend to conduct practicum exposure with the SECOND PARTY;
2. Provide the OJT student-trainee the basic orientation on work values, moral ethics, behavior,
safety and security, and discipline to ensure smooth and collaboration with the SECOND
PARTY;
3. Issue an official recommendation or endorsement vouching for the well-being of the OJT
student-trainee, which shall be used by the SECOND PARTY for processing the application of
the student-trainee;
4. Amicably Settle any problem or issues of the trainee/s related to the training program,
mutually with SECOND PARTY;
5. Make visits and investigations, as necessary, to the SECOND PARTY to confer with the
student’s supervisor regarding the status or progress of the trainees’ work.
6. Shall be responsible in ensuring the safety of its student on the course of the implementation of
the Internship Education Program
7. The Heads/Coordinators may provide on this part additional agreements, observations,
responsibilities, liabilities, and effectivity, pertinent to their respective disciplines that is
beneficial to our students and university. However, an agreement detrimental to our Academe is
severely prohibited.
This agreement shall become effective on the date of signature of the representatives of both
institutions.
IN WITHNESS WHEREOF, we have hereunto set our hands here at City of San Fernando,
Pampanga this ___ day of ___________, in the year of our Lord Two Thousand and Twenty Two.
