Geographical location
Bogor Regency has an area of ± 298,838.31 Ha. Geographically located
between 6? 18'0 "- 6? 47'10" South Latitude and 106? 23'45 "- 107? 13'30" East
Longitude, with varying morphological type of region, from relatively low plains
in The northern part to the highlands in the south, the lowlands of about 29.28%
are at an altitude of 15 - 100 meters above sea level (asl), a category of
downstream ecology. The undulating plain of 43.62% is at an altitude of 100 - 500
meters above sea level, a category of middle ecology. Approximately 19.53% of
mountainous areas are at an altitude of 500-1000 meters above sea level, is an
upstream ecological category. The high-use area of approximately 8.43% is at an
altitude of 1,000 - 2,000 meters above sea level, an upstream ecological category
and
0.22% at an altitude of 2,000 - 2,500 meters above sea level, is a category
upstream.

The borders of Bogor Regency are :

 North side, adjacent to Tangerang Regency, South Tangerang City, Depok City,
Regency / City of Bekasi;
 West side, adjacent to Lebak Regency;
 East side, adjacent to Karawang Regency, Cianjur Regency and Purwakarta
Regency;
 South side, adjacent to Sukabumi and Cianjur Regencies;
 Central part adjacent to Bogor City.

In addition, the morphological condition of Bogor Regency is mostly in the


form of plateau, hills and mountains with its constituent rocks dominated by
eruption of mountain, consisting of andesite, tuff and basalt. Combined stone is
included in the nature of relatively passive rock type of water where its ability to
absorb rainwater is quite large. This type of weathering rock is relatively
vulnerable to soil movement when it gets a high rainfall. Furthermore, the type of
soil cover is dominated by loose volcanic material rather sensitive and very
sensitive to erosion, including Latosol, Alluvial, Regosol, Podsolic and Andosol.
Therefore, some areas are prone to landslides. Climatically, the Bogor Regency
area includes a very wet tropical climate in the South and a wet tropical climate in
the North, with an annual bulk rate of 2,500 - 5.00 mm / year, except in the
northern region and a small part of eastern rainfall area of less than 2,500 Mm /
year. The average temperature in the area of Bogor Regency is 20º - 30ºC, with an
average annual temperature of 25º. The air humidity is 70% and the wind speed is
quite low, with an average of 1.2 m / sec with evaporation in the open area
averaging 146.2 mm / month.
While hydrologically, Bogor Regency is divided into 7 (seven) Watershed
(DAS) namely: (1) Cidurian Watershed; (2) Cimanceuri watershed; (3) Cisadane
watershed; (4) Ciliwung River Basin; (5) Kali Bekasi River Basin; (6)
Cipamingkis Sub-watershed; And (7) Cibeet watershed. In addition, there are 32
government irrigation networks, 794 rural irrigation networks, 93 situ and 96
springs.

The area of Bogor Regency in the south is limited by mountainous areas and in
the north by lowland.
Bogor Regency is located in the northern part of West Java Province and becomes the
meeting point of three provinces, namely, DKI Jakarta, Banten and West Java Provinces.
Bogor Regency has a very strategic position. Astronomically Bogor regency is
located at 6 ° 18'0 "- 6 ° 47'10" LS and 106 ° 23'45 "-107 ° 13'30" BT, with an area of
about 298,838.304 Ha.

Bogor Regency has many rivers, small lakes (situ) surrounded by mountains,

According to the Schmidt-Ferguson classification, the climate in Bogor Regency
includes tropical type A (very wet) located in the southern region and type B (wet) is in
the northern region. The air temperature of the southern region of Bogor regency ranges
from 20-30 ° C and has a cool air, while for the northern region of Bogor Regency has a
hot air with annual rainfall ranges from 2,500-5,000 mm / year.
State of the Economy
Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) of Bogor Regency based on constant prices in
2013 reached Rp38,738 billion and in 2014 reached Rp41,006 billion with an Economic
Growth Rate (LPE) of 6.01.
The economic structure of Bogor Regency receives the highest contribution from
the manufacturing industry sector (57.26 percent), after which the trade, hotel and
restaurant sector (20.46 percent). Trade sector, hotels and restaurants will continue to
grow related to the focus of Bogor Regency to improve the tourism sector.

 Infrastructure

Up to 2013, Perusahaan Daerah Air Minum (PDAM) Bogor Regency has been
serving the needs of the population for clean water in 23 districts in Bogor Regency, 8
Subdistricts in Depok & 4 Subdistricts in Bogor City
The provision of drinking water managed by PDAM Kabupaten Bogor is
currently mostly aimed at domestic customers and some non-domestic ones. The
installation of PLN's electricity network has reached almost all Bogor district in 40
districts.
Potential of Bogor Regency
1. Food
Bogor Regency is a producer of food crops, one of the leading commodities of
agriculture sector is the cultivation of mangosteen with a development center in Cigudeg,
Nanggung, Leuwiliang, Sukajaya, Jasinga and Sukamakmur subdistricts.
Indonesian mangosteen exports during the rainy season is quite large ranging
from 200 to 350 tons / month with export value of US $ 250 - 350 thousand, while in the
dry season only around 40-90 tons / month. Export destinations are Japan, Hongkong,
Taiwan, Singapore, Netherlands, France and Saudi Arabia.

2. Livestock
The type of livestock in Bogor Regency consists of large livestock (cattle and
buffalo); Small cattle (sheep, goats) and poultry (chickens, ducks) that produce
production in the form of meat, milk and eggs.
One of the leading livestock that is being developed in Bogor Regency is the PE
goat whose development center is located in District Caringin, Cijeruk, Ciampea, Ciawi,
Cigombong, and Cariu. PE goat production has a higher selling point and an increasing
market demand.

3. Fisheries

resources in

a potential that
can be used to
develop fishery
commodities. Fishery commodities that become the mainstay include fish consumption
(catfish, carp, carp, tilapia) and ornamental fish.
Currently under development Minapolitan area spread in 4 districts (Ciseeng,
Parung, Gunung Sindur and Kemang) with a potential land area of 2592.5 Ha.
Minapolitan area is an integrated area between primary activities (eg fishery
cultivation), secondary activities (eg fish processing factory and pakanikan factory), and
tertiary activities in the field of fisheries such as minawisata area, which is a combination
of fishery activities with tourism activities.

4. Tourism
Tourism is one of Bogor Regency's flagship potentials. Tourism objects that have
been developed continue to be organized and improved, both facilities and supporting
infrastructure. Untapped tourist attraction continues to be built, driven to further increase
the economic value and business. Supporting facilities that are already available in the
tourist areas of hotels and inns.

5. Mining
Riches Natural resources owned by Bogor Regency can be utilized for mining
needs such as Andesite, Sand, Land, Clay, Bentonite, Falshdpar, Iron Ore, Galena, etc.
