The area of Bogor Regency in the south is limited by mountainous areas and in
the north by lowland.
Bogor Regency is located in the northern part of West Java Province and becomes the
meeting point of three provinces, namely, DKI Jakarta, Banten and West Java Provinces.
Bogor Regency has a very strategic position. Astronomically Bogor regency is
located at 6 ° 18'0 "- 6 ° 47'10" LS and 106 ° 23'45 "-107 ° 13'30" BT, with an area of
about 298,838.304 Ha.
Limit Bogor administration is:
North: South Tangerang, Indonesia. Tangerang, Depok City, District / City, the west

Bogor Regency has many rivers, small lakes (situ) surrounded by mountains,

According to the Schmidt-Ferguson classification, the climate in Bogor Regency
includes tropical type A (very wet) located in the southern region and type B (wet) is in
the northern region. The air temperature of the southern region of Bogor regency ranges
from 20-30 ° C and has a cool air, while for the northern region of Bogor Regency has a
hot air with annual rainfall ranges from 2,500-5,000 mm / year.
State of the Economy
Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) of Bogor Regency based on constant prices in

Growth Rate (LPE) of 6.01.
The economic structure of Bogor Regency receives the highest contribution from
the manufacturing industry sector (57.26 percent), after which the trade, hotel and

grow related to the focus of Bogor Regency to improve the tourism sector.
Infrastructure
Up to 2013, Perusahaan Daerah Air Minum (PDAM) Bogor Regency has been
serving the needs of the population for clean water in 23 districts in Bogor Regency, 8
Subdistricts in Depok & 4 Subdistricts in Bogor City
The provision of drinking water managed by PDAM Kabupaten Bogor is
currently mostly aimed at domestic customers and some non-domestic ones. The
installation of PLN's electricity network has reached almost all Bogor district in 40
districts.
Potential of Bogor Regency
1. Food
Bogor Regency is a producer of food crops, one of the leading commodities of
agriculture sector is the cultivation of mangosteen with a development center in Cigudeg,
Nanggung, Leuwiliang, Sukajaya, Jasinga and Sukamakmur subdistricts.
Indonesian mangosteen exports during the rainy season is quite large ranging
from 200 to 350 tons / month with export value of US $ 250 - 350 thousand, while in the
dry season only around 40-90 tons / month. Export destinations are Japan, Hongkong,
Taiwan, Singapore, Netherlands, France and Saudi Arabia.
2. Livestock
The type of livestock in Bogor Regency consists of large livestock (cattle and
buffalo); Small cattle (sheep, goats) and poultry (chickens, ducks) that produce
production in the form of meat, milk and eggs.
One of the leading livestock that is being developed in Bogor Regency is the PE
goat whose development center is located in District Caringin, Cijeruk, Ciampea, Ciawi,
Cigombong, and Cariu. PE goat production has a higher selling point and an increasing
market demand.
3. Fisheries
The
abundant water
resources in
Bogor Regency is
a potential that
can be used to
develop fishery
commodities. Fishery commodities that become the mainstay include fish consumption
(catfish, carp, carp, tilapia) and ornamental fish.
Currently under development Minapolitan area spread in 4 districts (Ciseeng,
Parung, Gunung Sindur and Kemang) with a potential land area of 2592.5 Ha.
Minapolitan area is an integrated area between primary activities (eg fishery
cultivation), secondary activities (eg fish processing factory and pakanikan factory), and
tertiary activities in the field of fisheries such as minawisata area, which is a combination
of fishery activities with tourism activities.
4. Tourism
Tourism is one of Bogor Regency's flagship potentials. Tourism objects that have
been developed continue to be organized and improved, both facilities and supporting
infrastructure. Untapped tourist attraction continues to be built, driven to further increase
the economic value and business. Supporting facilities that are already available in the
tourist areas of hotels and inns.
5. Mining
Riches Natural resources owned by Bogor Regency can be utilized for mining
needs such as Andesite, Sand, Land, Clay, Bentonite, Falshdpar, Iron Ore, Galena, etc.
