    NARRATIVE REPORT

    FOR THE SUSTAINABILITY PROGRAM

    After conducting the intervention program last November 8, 2019, we


    monitored the senior citizens to see if there are changes or progress in their lifestyle. We
    started the monitoring by January 2019. These senior citizens based on the survey
    conducted to them before the intervention program have suicidal tendencies.

    It is quite normal for them to feel helpless because of aging. They tend to feel
    weaker because of the illnesses or diseases they have. That is why it is more likely for
    them to feel that they should just give up their lives. The intervention program conducted
    to them last year is one of the ways to help them cope up with their negative thoughts.
    Though we know that we can’t actually change their minds, we still want to conduct
    another activity or program that would somehow serve as their escape from their
    problems and negative thoughts. The Arts and Sciences Department and the 4 th year
    Psychology students as well as the Samahang Sikolohiya and Arts and Sciences Council
    will conduct another program that will serve as sustainability or continuation of the
    previous program for our Senior Citizens.

    Intervention Program last November 8, 2018. This is for us to have an update


    about the progress of the result of said program. We plan to conduct the interview
    by January 2019 and will run for months to be able to monitor the respondents
    simultaneously.
