INSTRUCTIONAL PLAN

Course Title: Care for Mother, Child and Adolescent (Well client)
Course Code: NCM107
Course Description: The course deals with concepts, principles and techniques in the nursing care of individuals and families during childbearing and childrearing years towards
health promotion, disease prevention, restoration and maintenance, and rehabilitation. The learners are expected to provide safe, appropriate and holistic
nursing care to clients utilizing the nursing process.
Course Credit: 4 units (72 hours) Lecture, 5 units (2 Units-(102 hours) Skills Laboratory; 3 Units- Clinical (RLE Hours: 153 hrs.)
Self-directed Learning: 51-76 hours
Placement: 2nd year, first semester
Pre-requisites: NCM 101(Health Assessment) NCM 102 (Health Education), NCM 103 (Fundamentals in Nursing Practice)
Co-requisite: NCM 104 (Community Health Nursing, NCM 105 (Nutrition and Diet Therapy, NCM 106 (Pharmacology), NCM108 (Health Care Ethics- Bioethics)
