The College of Nursing adopts the following Grading System:


Computations of grades are made as follows:

To Compute for Grades:


a. Class Standing 2/3
● Quizzes - 30%
● Reflection papers & Other Activities- 10% Midterm Period 50%
● Return Demonstration- 60%
Final Period 50%

b. Long term Examinations 1/3

HOUSE RULES FOR
FACE TO FACE CLASS
• Future Nurses: Remember that time
is precious, our profession deals
with life. So always, always, always
come early, be on time.
• For late comers: A letter should be
provided together with the tardiness
slip, to be submitted on the same
day.
• For absences: A letter should be
provided together with the absent
slip, to be submitted on the following
meeting. If medical certificate is
needed, please do include or attach
it.
•All tardiness or absences slips
should be given to your
clinical instructor on the day
of recorded late or on the
following meeting for
recorded absences.
•For late submission of
tardiness or absences slip,
another letter should be
provided and to be
submitted.
•Always Come prepared with
supplies and completed
homework.
•Prior to lecture discussion,
equipment needed should
be prepared.
•Prior to every demonstration,
supervised practice and
return demonstration,
supplies, materials, should be
prepared ahead of time.
• The class must assigned an OFFICER
OF THE DAY, making sure that all
supplies, equipment, and other
resources needed for the lecture
discussion and demonstration are
all ready and prepared.
• The officer of the day must
approach their clinical instructor
prior the class will start for the
materials and other resources
needed to prepare for the lecture
and demonstration discussion.
•The officer of the day must
lead the team making sure
the classroom is clean, the
boards are all clean, chairs
are arranged, and trashes are
thrown properly at the trash
bin, equipment, materials,
and other resources are
properly returned before and
after leaving the class.
• Do your homework:
- Make sure all your RLE manuals must
have rationale of the procedures
needed for return demonstration. DO
it at home, CRAMMING is a BIG NO!
• During the demonstration, all
materials, equipment and other
resources must already be prepared.
- May bring nursing t-shirt or any white
t-shirt if no nursing t-shirt & jogging
pants for those who will act as patient,
however, they must change into their
nursing uniforms thereafter.
- For those procedures wherein the
students will have to wear nursing t-shirt
& jogging pants, and or laboratory
gowns, loitering is prohibited. A letter
should be provided for those who will
be caught.
- Social distancing must strictly be
followed especially during return
demonstration.
- Shouting, screaming, or any loud noises
are discouraged at all times especially
when it is not your time to do your return
demonstration.
•Do your homework:
-Make sure all your RLE manuals
must have rationale of the
procedures needed for return
demonstration. DO it at home,
CRAMMING is a BIG NO!
•Using of cellphones during class,
demonstration or inside the skills
laboratory or classroom is
prohibited. If and when there is a
need to use for emergency
purposes, inform and approach
your CI’s.
• Wear complete and proper uniform.
• Wear your ID at all times.
• Always project a clean, and
professional image.
• Be respectful to classmates, teachers,
and property.
• Listen to your clinical instructor and
follow directions.
• Raise your hand when you would like to
speak in class or if you need to leave
the classroom for any reason (e.g.,
going to the bathroom).
• Obey all school rules.
• Work hard, and always do your
best.
• CHEATING is PROHIBITED.
• Be safe!
- Observe social distancing.
- Always wash your hands, bring your
alcohol or hand sanitizer with you.
- Wear facemask properly.
- If feeling sick, experiencing cough,
fever or any other health related
issues, make sure to submit yourself
for check-ups.

FOR ONLINE CLASS
1. Stay RESPECTFUL
-No yelling! Typing in ALL CAPS
is inappropriate.
2. Sarcasm can (and will)
backfire
- Avoid sarcasm and jokes, this
may lead to misunderstanding.
-Learn to be polite, kind, and
respectful in the way you
communicate with each other.
3. Don’t abuse the chat box.

-Flooding of chat box is a


big NO!
-Only relevant questions
and clarifications are
allowed.
-Don’t distract your
classmates with irrelevant
and off-topics discussions.
4. Attempt to find your own answer.

- If you’re confused or stuck on an


assignment, your first instinct may be to
immediately ask a question. But before
you ask, take the time to try to figure it
out on your own.

- For questions related to class structure,


such as due dates or policies, refer to
your syllabus. If your questions remain
unanswered after a bit of effort, feel free
to bring them up with your instructor.
5. Check your grammar
- Always make an effort to use proper
punctuation, spelling and grammar.

6. Set a respectful tone


- Be respectful. During your synchronous
class, always observe a respectful tone
when communicating with your
classmates/CI’s.

7. Participation during Online is a MUST.


8. Do your classwork and
always submit on time.

9. Read and understand first


before you react or leave a
comment.
10. Think before you type.
11. Work hard, and always do
your best.

12. For any internet connectivity
issues/problems:
•Submit an Excuse Letter
•Submit a proof of internet
connectivity issues
•Submit it in LMS and/or Gmail and
always inform your professor.

Subject.
14. Put Formal Picture in your
LMS account.

15. Dress up properly during


your synchronous classes.

concerns and clarifications.
HOUSE RULES FOR
Face to Face
Skills Laboratory
1. Proceed directly to your assigned waiting
room or Nursing Skills Laboratory.

2. Observe Social Distancing: Do not


rearrange chairs and hospital beds.

3. No Loitering.

4. Follow yellow arrows on the floor to find


your way.

5. Report to your Clinical Instructor for


instructions.
6. Students are Prohibited in using
Cellphone during return
demonstration. Unless Emergency
and CI allowed.

7. Students are Not Allowed to


Record the Procedures.

8. Please fall in line when you borrow


materials in skills laboratory. Only 1
student per partner to maintain
physical distancing.

9. Clean laboratory room after used.


10. Proper Handling & Disposal of
Sharps;
❖ Immediately place discarded
needle/syringes into puncture-proof
Sharps Containers only. Never try to
replace the cap on a needle.
11. Stay in your area assigned. Do not
stay in the hallway.

12. Follow your assigned Clinical


Instructor.

13. Write first the Rationale in every


Procedures. Failure to do, will not able
proceed the Retdem and make an
Explanation letter.
14. APPEARANCE & ATTIRE:
❏ White blouse ( Type C Tshirt need to Fit well) Jeans
(No Tattered Jeans), and Close shoes.

❏ Nails should be cut short, nail polish is not


allowed.

❏ Wear School ID and your Nameplate.

❏ Proper Haircut::

Gentlemen - No long hair, No Mustache.

Ladies - Neatly pulled-back hair with black hairnet.

❏ No wearing of jewelry.
● Our First F2F NCM 109 Return Demonstration will be this
coming March 21,2022. If in doubt joining the face to face
Retdem. Please make final decision before the said schedule. If
you cannot join, You Withdraw the Subject together with the
NCM 109 lecture.

● Have Proper Manner when your at School.
