pleasure
Studies show mood, mental clarity, and well-being can all be positively affected
based on designer music

NEW YORK — All across America, music listeners across all spectrums are beginning to

understand the impact what genres have on their well-being.

“A number of studies have shown that music affects emotions and mood states as well as

performance,” said Rollin McCraty, a psychophysiology at HeartMath and director of research.

“The term ‘designer music’ was introduced by the music industry to describe a new genre of

music designed to affect the listener in a specific way”

designer music produces significant affects in listeners physiological and psychological status.

“In the study, the designer music had the greatest and most favorable effects on the

listeners. In the full sample, all positive scales (caring, relaxation, mental clarity, and vigor)

increased”.

Now, new direction for research on the use in treatment of dysfunctional mental and

emotional conditions. The results indicate the music can be an inexpensive and attributes to

facilitating stress reduction.
