Human Resources Management developed in response to the substantial increase in


competitive pressures American business organizations began experiencing by the late 1970 as
a result of such factory as globalization, deregulation and rapid technological change. These
pressures gave rise to an enhanced concern on the part of firms to engage in strategic planning
a process of anticipating future changes in the environment conditions. Human Resources
Management also called personal management. Human Resources Management (HRM) is
series of activity which first enables working people and the organization that use their skills to
agree about the nature and extent of their working relationship and second ensures that the
agreement is fulfilled. So, HRM is important for all organization because we can resist without
HR but we can’t resist without people management. Everything need to boundary so
organization need to do people management for its employees.
Simple ways of management process are planning, organizing, staffing, leading and
controlling. But HR management is a little bit different with management process. HR
management process are delegation, acquiring, training, appraising and compensation
employees and of attending to their labor relations, health and safety and fairness concerns.
Recruitment and selection process involve in acquiring. It is one of important process of HR
process Firstly, organization have to decide what position need to fill and how many employees
need to fill. And then organization have to pools of job applicants. Than organization have to
make interview and decide to whom to make an offer. So, Recruitment and selection process
need to make carefully because if organization didn’t do carefully that process, it can’t get “right
place and right person”. Delegation is also process of HR professional. HR need to delegate to
their employees but they need to give empowerment and enough support. If they don’t give that
support their employees will difficult to do their duty. And HR need to accountability positive and
negative effectives on their employees’ duty. Appraising that mean performance management.
That’s also need to do for organization. That process decided the level of employees. If
employees are low, organization need to train that kinds of employees. If organization need to
train, organization decided what skill need to train and how to train and when to train. Than
organization have to train. Finally, organization need to do appeasing again. Welfare is one of
the process of organization. Organization need to permit welfare for its employees such as child
care center, insurance, flexible working hours, vacation and holiday pay, sick pay something like
that. So, health and safety is included the process of welfare. If organization buy health
insurance for its employees, its employees will satisfy and more comfortable for their safety in
the organization.
HRM is important to organization because many organizations today recognize the
important of people in meeting their goals. HRM must therefore balance two primary
responsibility assisting the organization in its strategic direction and representing and supporter
for the organization’s employees.
