CRESTS- highest points of a wave


TROUGHS- lowest point a waves
AMPLITUDE (A) - maximum height of a crest or depth of a trough
WAVELENGTH- distance between two successive crests
WAVE EQUATION

frequency- the number of crests or complete cycles that pass a given point per unit of time

period(t)- time elapsed between two successive crests passing by the same point in a space
wave velocity- it is the velocity at which wave crests move
