Reflection #4

For this week's reflection, I will dedicate and talk about the business project that I’m

doing with my group in my CAS 113B class. I never thought that doing a business project could

be that enjoyable and fun, I knew some about this project because my major is about business

and I have done similar projects and homework. I was chosen to work in a team of 3 members to

build a business plan regarding launching a business or to be connected with a school that can

help our community, especially the central American student and people. My team members for

this assignment are Fabian, Yoselin, David, and myself (Jorge GT). Although I wanted to be in a

team of my close friend Alfonso, the administration of the SI leaders allocated teams randomly

and put me in a group of three other random students. Luckily I already have a close friendship

with one member and I knew one another as he is in the same study group as mine.

The hardest part that I faced when developing a business plan was creating and selecting the

topic of the project, my team and I resubmit the proposal project because the first time we turned

in the proposal it was not done correctly. Eventually, we are finishing the project right now, we

have done most of the project and I feel grateful to have the team members with me since we all

have a different position in the group because we created a contract that we need to follow, each

role has done correctly and it's been working to let things done in the class. My team members

also brought energy, drive, passion, and determination. Fabian is funny and is the technology

guy, Yoselin keeps us on the eye to get the work done, David is like the supporter of the team
guy, and myself is in charge of keeping the group together and being that everyone is connected.

Increasing the strength of each team member produced greater team success and results. I feel

that a business plan is viable as it helps us understand not just to apply critical thinking and

analyze the information but to use the theory into practice.
