Reflection #10

For the last reflection of this semester, I would like to talk about the Central American

News website from Instagram. This website is a weekly newsletter that publishes Central

American News. This website is cool because students spend time in countries like Puerto Rico,

Panama, Honduras, they go and learn more about the environment, and culture has enough

resources to stay there for a few days or weeks. They are posting images, texts about the most

relevant news. For example, a new post says that countries have sealed their borders and some

migrants have stayed in the jungle, in these small villages, with just a little water, food, and the

authorities have shown that some of them have COVID-19. This website cares about situations

like this and they try to spread the voice and they can get help. Also, another post says that the

congress in Guatemala has approved A$29 billion in loans to expand Guatemala’s state budget

amid COVID-19. Since the professor from my Central American class gave us these links to

learn more about these websites.
