WORK ACTIVITY/TASK

The school’s machine shop has a lathe that can be controlled by a start-stop station near the
lathe and an emergency stop button near the teacher’s workstation. You are required to
demonstrate your competence in connecting such systems by connecting a start-stop station
and remote stop station to control a three-phase induction motor located in the electrical
workshop. In this activity, physical location of control stations and motor is not critical.
