INTRODUCTION
BACKGROUND
The Area 4 Offshore Rovuma Basin block, with an initial area of 17,646 km 2, was awarded to the Area 4 Joint
Venture, for which Eni East Africa S.p.A. (EEA) was appointed as the Operator on December 2006 (with
effective date February 2007).
It is located in the deep waters of the Rovuma Basin (1500 to 2300 WD) and straddles the Mozambique’s
Northern border with Tanzania, adjacent to the Area 1 block. The Rovuma Basin is part of the Tanzania-
Mozambique Coastal Basin, which has a total extension of some 80,000 km2 and a maximum thickness of
about 10 km.
PROJECT LOCATION
Area 4 is situated approximately 250 km North East of Pemba and 50 km from the coastline, measured from
the western limit of the concession; the Block is about 70 km wide by 200 km long. Currently Area 4 covers a
surface of 10207 sqkm.
EEA is the Operator of the Area 4 Block (with a 70% participation interest), with the other participants being
ENH (10% carried throughout the exploration phase), Galp Energia (10%) and Kogas (10%). CNPC holds a
28.57% participation in EEA (equal to an indirect participation of 20% in the Block).
PROJECT OBJECTIVE
Coral South Development Project has the objective to exploit the southern portion of Coral non-straddling
reservoir through one Floating LNG (FLNG) Unit, and relevant subsea development.
The scope of this document is to describe the composition of the process fluids which will be imported to the
FLNG Facility within the Turret.
REFERENCES

UNITS OF MEASUREMENT
The units of measurement will be generally expressed according to S.I. except for any differences in the
following table:
The following table lists the design and operating pressures and temperatures of the incoming produced gas
stream.
The maximum design flow rate and the design case are (Ref. [3], Section 7):
Case Flowrate Description
LELO 605 MMSCFD Design Lean Low
The above total flow rates are through four to six flow lines.
Maximum design gas flowrate is 150 MMScf/d per well / flowline and the correspondent flowrate of liquids
(water and condensate) (Ref. [1] Section 8.3.3).
FEEDSTOCK CHARACTERISTICS
The pseudo component properties are provided in Appendices G and H of Basis of Design (Ref [1]).
CONTAMINANTS DATA
SAND PRODUCTION
The above provided values have to be considered as normal operation values. The sand production reported
in the table above is to be considered valid at the top of the tubing. The above values are obtained from Section
8.4 of Basis of Design. Ref. [1]
In addition to the produced fluid system listed above, the turret will also contain chemical services. MEG
Injection (both to subsea and Turret) and Scale Inhibitor Injection are both provided from topsides. The
following table lists the design pressures and temperatures of the chemical services being delivered from
topsides (Ref. [6] Section 9).
NOTE 1: PSV set point at discharge of scale inhibitor pump is 176 barg.
The 90%wt MEG characteristics are as follows (Ref [4], Table 4-2):
Scale inhibitors are water soluble products and the ranges of viscosity and density values are
reported as follows (Ref [4], Table 7-1):
Sample 2⁰ C 20⁰ C
Viscosity S.C (cP) 3.0 – 7.8 1.9 – 4.4
Density (g/cm 3) 1.10 – 1.11 1.09 – 1.11
