IMC PLAN FOR BARBIE TA

It is necessary to follow the target market, where these tween targets live and what
are their activities. Be where they are or appear where they are interested. Barbie
should be presented as a role model acceptable for parents. Also the channel
should be relevant to them.

1. Public Relation: Schools events: Usually for annual functions kids are very
excited so Barbie can be used to surprise her fans by arranging live events
during annual functions of schools. They can arrange Barbie makeover
competition, Barbie paining competition, Barbie games, and Barbie dance
competition. Where they can meet with Barbie and can interact with them.

It will excite them for the Barbie and will positively influence them so it will
be acceptable for parents as well.

2. Barbie parties: kids enjoy more when they do fun activities with their
friends who bring their own dolls and then they play together. So they can
arrange birthday parties for kids where they should decorate the whole
place with same colors and provide Barbie dresses for all friends coming for
celebration. Also cake can be decorated with a Barbie doll accessories.

It will create bonding of friendship and when one mom arranges it for her
kids their friends will also insist to parents to arrange the same for them
because of peer pressure. Also it is common that people share pictures of
events on social media so it will create buzz as well.

3. TV shows (of Outdoor activities with Barbie dolls): They can arrange TV
show where kids play outdoor activities. Grab your Barbie and meet your
friends outside the home and Post photo on social media and get a chance
to participate in the TV show. It will inspire kids to play and also it will
create buzz on social media so it will excite other kids to do the same

Barbie gadgets and accessories, Bags, dresses of Barbie, painted School
buses. Barbie Model: In China they should have hired local girls to dress up
like the Barbie who can directly interact with tweens in schools, kids play
areas, shopping malls etc.

In this way it will be positioned in tweens mind that Barbie really exists and
we can meet him. It will help tweens to position it in their mind so kids will
insist on buying Barbie

6. Social Media marketing: As social media platform is easily accessible


nowadays for tweens as well as the brands so they can start social media
campaigns where they ask tweens to share your friendship story, share
mother daughter bond, and share a short appreciating note for your
favorite teacher. They can use YouTube channel for kids, where they show
creative fun activities for kids so they will try them at home but activities
must include the role of Barbie. they can It will be more relevant and
accessible.

7. Advertising: Guerilla Advertising, outside schools, parks, bus stop they


should use guerilla marketing. When kids will see their Barbie dolls in
unusual way they will get excited for them.
They can also use billboards Barbie tips written over them : Barbie tips
related to beauty, precautions for kids, funny tips to make Barbie as
