Many economists believe that the Covid-19, which has been dubbed the global pandemic, is the worst of its
kind since the global financial crisis and the Great Depression in 1929. The crisis started in Wuhan (china), and
quickly developed extended to other countries. It made waves around the world, and many other industrialized
countries were affected, and almost every industry was affected by its results. The retail sector has not been
immune from Covid-19 and its sales have dropped dramatically. This article discusses the challenges of retail.
To understand the retail information, we collected data from major retail chains in Pakistan such as Carrefour,
Imtiaz, Metro Cash & Carry (in total these three brands have 30 retail stores in the country).
