VALDRIZ “A Prototype of Coffee Bean Dryer for Small Scale Coffee

Farmers”. Student Research, NPCMST, Lingsat, City of San Fernando,

La Union. April 2020

Adviser: Engr. Ariz A. Galvez

This study aimed to design and fabricate a mechanical coffee bean

dryer. Specifically, this project study sought to answer the following

questions: 1.) What is the level of technical performance of the Coffee

Bean Dryer for Small Scale Coffee Farmers? 2.) What is the level of

technical soundness of the Coffee Bean Dryer for Small Scale Coffee

Farmers? 3.) What is the level of Social acceptability of the Coffee Bean

Dryer for Small Scale Coffee Farmers?

The descriptive – developmental research design

was utilized employing the questionnaire to gather data from the sixty-

one (61) respondents. Data were analyzed using weighted means.

It was found out that the level for technical performance of the Coffee

Bean Dryer for Small Scale Coffee Farmers was Very Highly

Satisfactory. The level of technical soundness was Very Highly Sound,

and the level of social acceptability of the Coffee Bean Dryer for Small

Scale Coffee Farmers was Very Highly Acceptable.
