EVIDENCE: MY FAVORITE PLAYER: JACKIE CHAN.

I know that when someone says "Athlete" they mean a sports player, but not always, this time
being an acrobat is being an athlete too. Chan Kong-Sang better known as Jackie Chan is a
Hong Kong-born Chinese martial artist, comedian, singer, actor, acrobat, stuntman, stunt
coordinator, director, screenwriter, producer, and voice actor.

I chose this man because I am a fan of him and he is unique, he is a good person a
philanthropist and he likes to share with his fans and tries to make a better world with his
charisma, also he is known for that great smile who always accompanies him on and off stage.
The aspect that I most admire is he doesn’t need to use a stunt double.

His family is from Yantai, a city in Shandong province, which is characterized by having been
the cradle of great fighters, if I was born there, I would have been an acrobat too. I really like it.
Chan attended Nah-Hwa Elementary School on Hong Kong Island although he gave all his
effort, he could not get past his first year, after which his parents removed him from school.

While some directors hire actors who needs their stunt double, Chan does martial arts movies
without any doubles to help him during filming.
He performed his own action scenes, which has caused him to break his head countless times,
his jaw, cheek bones, one shoulder, most of the fingers on his hand, one ankle and nose three
times. Even though Jackie suffered many injuries along his professional career he never gave
up on continuing his stunts.

Jackie Chan also trained in other styles of martial arts such as Karate, Judo, Chinese Boxing,
Taekwondo, Eastern Kung fu, Wing Chung, and Jeet Kune Do. Now he is considered as a
master of martial arts and his fans know him as the king of Kung Fu, whether or not the other
people like it.

Even if he is already famous and know some languages, he doesn't stop there, he speaks
Cantonese, Mandarin, English, Korean, Japanese, Thai, and American Sign Language.

Before turning twenty, Jackie had already participated in more than 25 film productions as an
actor or as a specialist. By the time he entered the film industry, he was training hapkido
together with his friend Sammo Hung.
The first time Jackie appeared in a movie without a single fight scene, was in an adult movie
called "All in the Family."

In his highlights we can find when Chan received stars on the Avenue of Stars in Hong Kong
and on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. It has been referenced in several popular songs, video
games, and comics.
Throughout the history of the Oscar Awards ceremony, honorary awards have been presented,
intended to reward particular circumstances that, according to the Academy, could not be
rewarded with the usual trophies that’s why until 2016 Jackie won an award for his entire
professional career.
