Jurassic world
Story boards and draft production schedules

Jurrasic world is about a created island which is used a tourist attraction in which people can visit
and see dinosaurs that were once extinct in doing so this became a
global success meaning they needed to expand, this seeing the
creation of a new dinosaur a hybrid. This dinosaur is then kept in
captivity until ready to show the world it then uses it abilities to escape
the enclosure and head towards the amusement park, this being a
danger as it kills humans. The park the has to be quickly evacuated
leaving two brothers behind without realising as they explore the wild
they unfortunately come across this hybrid and have to run for there
lives. The hunt then begins to kill the dinosaur and find the boys
resulting in the dinosaur dead and the boys safely back with there
family.

The storyboards used for Jurassic world where there to help break
down each individual shot of the film therefore giving the director a
clearer vision of what they will be filming and aiming for, this also gives
the location reece the inspiration to find the perfect location to set the
scene and give the right. Location is an important aspect of filming as
the first thing that is usually seen in a film is location this helps set the mood for the scene and also
helps the narrative as it could show things such a time change through development In
surroundings. The location reece has to assess each location before filming to ensure it is legal and
safe to film on and suitable for the film in this case a lot of the film would’ve have been CGI’d
especially with extreme long shots of the Jurassic world. So finding location in this would’ve have
been based on the surroundings on what they want to show in this case a deserted island that has
been used to create this new world. This also helps the director put each shot together so it’s easier
for them to put it together. This allows visual imagery for the people how may not understand the
idea verbally it give a chance for people to see what they’re going to create.

Risk assessment in this film was a huge factor being such a large
scale movie production cost were up meaning the risk of an
increased size of equipment props and sets were very high. As
locations varied from across the world the risk of injury and death
were very high and will have caused massive list of things on
assessment. As traveling they would’ve had to factor in every
crew members roll and the risk they could face, as having such a
large crew this list would’ve varied from trip hazards for the
camera man to branches falling on cast.

Location is a very important part to the film as they can create

different environments from different locations. The main location for the park being hawaiwi the
perfect location for a rainforest with beautiful landscape. As filming in the jungle helped create a
prehistoric times the dinosaurs roaming about made it feel quite lifelike when watching as much as
we know its cgi’d it help put the scenes together. This would’ve effected the budget massively as the
cost of getting all the 100’s of crew and equipment out to various locations will cost loads when
traveling from one side of the world to the other.

Actors where specifically chosen for the roles that fitted accordingly having well known actors means
that the film will have more fans and a wider audience to sell to as the recognisable names will bring
returning audience and new audience. This pre sold audience from actors and from the previous
fans of the film gives the producer the understanding of what the budget can be as they can
calculate accordingly to how much it will bring in.

The director J.A Boyona has an astounding reputation for being an international director, debatably
his most famous film The Impossible was his big break through on the directors scene this starting
the reputation he has today. He is known for his great directory skills when filming with large
amounts of CGI this een in the film he directed before Jurassic world being A Monster Calls. His way
of directing when filming with large amounts of CGI helps make the films seem more realistic and
believable to the audience this making him perfect for the director of Jurassic world as the CGI used
was in almost every scene.
