Team Charter

The Goldilocks

To: Dr. Leslie Bruce

From: Charlotte Kong, Elisabet Botello, Marisol Pacheco
Subject: Group Charter
Date: 3 March 2020

Mission statement:
The goal of our project is to work efficiently as a group to write a research review article that
will summarize our findings to present to the employer, in addition to comprising a well
informed expectation of each person.

Measurable Team Goals:

Overall the expectations for our team is to meet all deadlines at least three days before the due
date in order to create a cushion for revisions.

Communication with each other will be in the form of a group chat or via email throughout the
project. It is ideal that responses are made in the span of two hours before the group makes a
decision that will change the project.

Group meetings will be held approximately thirty minutes after class to discuss the progress and
ideal goals of the presentation. The goals will be met by Sunday 6:30 p.m.

Personal Goals
Charlotte: A goal of mine is to practice my team working skills and to allocate time spent on
a project.
Marisol: I want to practice my writing skills and improve my presentation skills.
Elisabet: I want to improve my research skills and team working skills.

Individual Commitment:
● Charlotte, Marisol, and Elisabet are willing to work together around our different
schedules to get the work done. We are also going to put our effort into getting things
done on time to create a better group management.
Other Concerns:
● Marisol has had experience with presentations, but has not done one for a while so she
feels like she may need to practice with this presentation before the due date of
presenting.
● Elisabet has worked on presentations but not recently on research article presentations,
and also has a busy schedule this semester but will still work and put in the effort.
● Charlotte has not read about scientific articles for a while, so there may be a lot of jargon
that is not understood.

Conflict Resolution:
Through communication via email and text; conflicts will be identified in order to enforce the
proper measures to solve the issues. Resolutions will be solved based on where the majority of
the team stands. However, if problems are not resolved, we will consult Dr. Bruce for an
unbiased solution.

Missed Deadlines:
If a team member misses a deadline, we will remind them to make up the assignment. If they still
do not work on a deadline they have to turn in we will consult the instructor.

Unacceptable Work:
Incomplete and late work will be unacceptable.
