Purposes of Charter:
1. To have an agreed upon contract between all team members on how the project will be
handled.
2. To have an agreed upon padded timeline to prevent the team from falling behind on the
actual due dates.
3. This document is meant for Dr. Bruce and the rest of the team to reference in case of
conflict.
Padded Timeline:
Each group member finds 4 individual sources: 4/8/21
Creation of Weebly Website: 4/14/21

Create 4 Annotations for individual sources: 4/19/21
Team AB Draft: 4/20/21
Final Team AB: 4/24/21
Team Goals:
1. Improve reading comprehension of journals and articles.
2. Improve writing skills and citing skills.
3. Improve our ability to utilize scientific databases.
4. Improve graphic design skills.
Personal Goals:
Megan: I want to use this project as an opportunity to improve my writing skills, as well
as my citing skills. I tend to have difficulty when citing sources, so this project will be a
big help to me.
Andrew: A goal I plan to achieve through this project is to master my citing! I want to
improve how to cite journals and databases at a quicker rate. As well as when to
incorporate different sources and when to use images.
Ashly: I hope to learn more about how to use scientific databases to find good peer
reviewed journals, especially how to filter or search key terms related to our topic. I also
struggle with making citations and knowing what format to follow, so I’d like to improve
on that as well.
Other Concerns:
Megan is concerned that members of the team will procrastinate and wait until the last
minute to submit work.
Conflict Resolution:
We will do a ⅔ majority vote on how to handle individual impasses. If we cannot reach a 2/3
majority decision, we will discuss the conflict with Dr. Bruce and ask her what our next steps
should be. We will also implement a 3 strikes policy, where if there are more than 3 violations of
the team charter, then Dr. Bruce will be alerted. If needed, we will also have a zoom meeting to
discuss the conflict.
Unacceptable work:
Our team defines unacceptable work as work that clearly is low effort, that does not meet the
standards of the guidelines of the assignment, and that has major errors. When unacceptable
work is submitted, a group member will bring this up to the group member that has submitted it
and will be expected to create a revised document. The revised document will be expected to be
submitted within the 24 hours of the alert. If needed, a zoom meeting will be done to discuss how
the work can be improved. To prevent unacceptable work from occurring, we will have zoom
meetings as needed to discuss the assignment.
