Team Process Evaluation Ques-

tions
1. How well is the team performing?

Please use the following scale

Very poorly 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 Very Well

2. What is the team doing well? (100 words)

Communication is good, dependable team members, work being done ahead of sched-
ule, being on the same page

The team is doing a great job at completing action items before the deadlines that were
set. With everyone working ahead of schedule, it is giving us the time during the meeting
to go over the project and make any adjustments. All the team members are on the
same page and contributing. We have a shared document to look at during the meet-
ings and are posting the assignments in the shared document, where everyone is edit-
ing. Everyone is making it to the weekly meetings, and we are all giving each other the
time to talk and answer any questions. We are all open to editing each other’s work and
giving advice.

3. What areas of improvement are needed? (100 words)

We could do better at supporting each other throughout the class, not just on the group
project. I realized we work well together, but we don’t reach out for any of the class
work. With that, we have a group chat on WhatsApp that allows us to get ahold of each
other quickly when time is not permitting. We also have an ongoing inbox thread where
we drop our final submission documents for the team to review. Our team also utilizes a
live Google shared document to complete project pieces like this one as a team. We
have broken up the questions and can see what our other teammates have written.
Therefore, I think we are doing really well as a team and keeping open communication.
We also help each other out when we need it. For example, the original Google docu-
ment was under my name and account. But my storage was full and I deleted old docu-
ments. Somehow our document got deleted with these. So my team was great in send-
ing me what Ineeded to ensure I got my portion of the group project done in time for our
personal due date.

4. Discuss your team's strategy to address the problem (100 words)

Your Answer:

Our team's strategy to address the problem will be to continue with our weekly Tuesday
night zoom meeting. We will keep up with our group chats giving updates on the project
and also supporting each other with the other class assignments. Checking in with each
other will help everyone stay on the same page and to see if any additional support is
needed to help any of the team members. I am very happy with our team and luckily we
have not had many issues. Everyone in the team is a hard worker and doing their part to
complete the group project.

- Weekly meetings to talk about the class and making sure to check on our group
chat to see if anyone needs anything. We also email each other with project up-
dates.

The idea is to have a nonprofit with a Back on Track program. This program will have
dorm style housing for homeless people and will offer clothes and haircuts to get people back on
their feet. People can be in the program for up to 6 months, to ensure entry back into society.
Having a limit to the amount of time in the program will allow a timeline for people to get back
on their feet and allow the program to help as many people as possible. There will be services to
help people job search and create resumes. The slogan Ryan came up with is “Sometimes all it
takes is a little kindness”. Our target audience would be anyone who is homeless and in need of
support and anyone that is willing to help donate items, money, or services to our nonprofit. Part-
nering with companies willing to offer services will be crucial to help this program, networking
with hairdressers, clothing stores, job services and collecting donation items like personal hy-
giene. Also finding a building near a food bank to partner with or offering food options inside the
dorm style building. A library would contain books with information about different occupations
and various kinds of topics that could give them useful knowledge to use when searching for a
job or pursuing their goals. I strongly believe that it can be difficult for homeless people to get
jobs because they are not able to clean up to be presentable for their employers. The Back on
Track program would give these people a great opportunity to find a job again and learn about
what they need to do to live a self-sufficient life again. Many homeless people had jobs for a
long time before they were no longer able to support themselves. It is my hope that this organiza-
tion would give them the boost they need to get back to where they want to be again. I think it is
important now more than ever to have empathy for others. I have long felt like homeless people
do not get enough assistance to be expected to rebound from their hard times without years of
struggle sometimes. An organization like this would help people turn their lives around in a
much quicker amount of time than if they were to do it on their own. To bring awareness to our
issue, we will hold fundraising events for the non-profit organization of “Back-on-Track. This
will allow for funds to be raised and public awareness of homeless issues. All proceeds will be
used for food, housing, clothing, and education. Campaigning will happen year round to continue
to bring awareness to the homeless issues at hand. People and places to campaign to would be
the city mayor's office, local functions, and town hall meetings. Back-on-Track is a community
effort. Anyone can become homeless for many reasons. But it’s much harder to get out of being
homeless. We want our audience to humanize people in poor conditions and not see them as a
problem. We need to be the solution we want to see.
